2012 MTV Video Music Awards - Best Dressed List
The VMAs were tonight, usually a place for wild and wacky fashion and while the usual weirdo culprits of the group (i.e. Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry) weren’t especially zany, there were some especially lovely fashion moments from several Hollywood ladies.

Here is the VMAs best-dressed list:

Taylor Swift: Oh my god Taylor Swift is in a pantsuit and I die! The singer traded in her predictable tea-length frocks and sequined prom dresses for a demure J. Mendel silk crepe suit in ivory. She paired the gorgeous suit with a v-neck blouse and pleated slacks with gold Tom Ford sandals. Of course Tom Ford was the perfect addition to this menswear inspired look.

Zoe Saldana: Generally speaking, I am never a fan of Zoe Saldana's fashion choices. I think she tries too hard and ends up in a Balmain dress that looks like it weighs more than her entire body-weight or a sheer maxi with a train. But today, the actress stunned in a cream colored long sleeved Salvatore Ferragamo mini. She paired the textured dress with intricate and strappy sandals.

Gabby Douglas: US Olympic Gymnast Gabby Douglas needs a mention for showing up to her first red carpet event ever and looking flawless! She paired a metallic and black sequined dress with open toed booties and looked like she’d been walking the carpet her entire life. TEAM USA!

Rihanna: How is it that Rihanna dresses like a drug-store hooker by day and a glamazon by night? She cleans up so well for events, it’s unreal. Rihanna paired her new short ‘do with a sleek white column dress custom made by Adam Selman that gathered at the waist.

Miley Cyrus: Surprisingly, Miley and her new punk rawk look landed her on our best-dressed list. Rocking her favorite designer (Emilio Pucci) in a nearly sheer silk organza gown, it was the perfect choice to feminize her edgy haircut. She also brushed her hair back and styled it faux hawk style.
