Year after year we compile the VMAs worst dressed list. I always keep a seat warm for Nicki Minaj but who else will compile the list is up for grabs every year. Thanks to some poor wardrobe choice or lazy stylists, here are the worst dressed celebs at this years VMAs.

Emma Watson: Hmph. What to say about Emma Watson’s rainbow brite Peter Pilotto mini? On the runway, I’m sure this is fab, but on the red carpet and paired with boring hair pulled back into a ponytail, this is just a very confused look for the Harry Potter actress. Stick to cloaks and gryffindor scarves.

Katy Perry: I don’t “get” Katy Perry. Is she a bubble gum princess of the queen of goth? Either way, I don't like it. Tonight she chose a black Elie Saab gown (who usually creates wonderful dresses) but this sheer gown with red and blue floral accents made Katy look like an amateur.

Ke$ha: Ke$ha emerged from whatever casino rave she had been hibernating at and graced the carpet with her presence. Unsure who designed this nude and black floral micro-mini but I wasn’t having it. Next!

Nicki Minaj: I CANNOT wait until bedazzled jumpsuits go out of style. Nicki Minaj, J.Lo and Jessie J are all fans, but don’t they know that it does nothing to minimize the hips! Anyways, Nicki paired her yellow hair with a lace body suit that was accented in red piping. She looked like lady spiderman.

Alicia Keys: Clearly taking her “Empire State of Mind” song a little too seriously, Alicia Keys looked like a straight up Statue of Liberty. The singer choose a one-shouldered silver Alexandre Vauthier dress. The best I can say is that she looked like she was going to a fancy toga party.
