Bruce Weber has been doing campaigns for Abercrombie for years and the theme of these new ads are all about wrestling.
Really stupid move on the part of Abercrombie, seeing as how the only people I’ve seen still wearing their stuff is The Situation.
The whole thing was later chalked up as an elaborate PR stunt, but their stock dropped shortly after they made the announcement. I’m guessing it’s because The Situation owns most of their stock.
It was also kind of sh-tty of them considering they’ve profited from the guy’s name by producing T-shirts with slogans like “The Fitchuation” and “GTL Fitch”.
