Alexander McQueen

Anyways, it was another fashion moment for the Duchess who donned her most sultry outfit ever. Gone were the old lady suits and panty hose she usually wears, Kate Middleton looked like Hollywood glamor for once.
She and a dapper Prince William who looked so fine in a tuxedo and bow-tie stepped out together to the "Night of Heroes" ...

This is a big deal for Londoners, as this is the first major catwalk show for the brand and will coincide with the opening of a new four-story McQ flagship store opening in London’s exclusive Mayfair district.
The Fashion Week runway show will feature their autumn/winter 2012-2013 collection and will serve a preview for the clothing to land in the store opening later in the year.
McQ was launched in 2006 as a trendier more affordable version of the Alexander McQueen mainline designs. After McQueen’s death in February 2010, his assistant Sarah Burton took over as creative director of the fashion house.

Sarah Burton unveiled her 2012 Spring/Summer ready-to-wear collection for Alexander McQueen during Paris Fashion Week and to no surprise her collection got rave reviews.
This was Sarah’s third collection for the fashion house and it is being said that she brought “fragility and femininity to the catwalk.”
What you saw during the show was a lot of ruffles, form-fitting jackets, and silvery and pink dresses with a lot of sharp tailoring.

The London Born designer committed suicide in February 2010 and a fashion journalist has created a petition to bring the "Savage Beauty" exhibition to his hometown to continue honoring the designer and showcase his work.
The online petition created by Melanie Rickey has gathered nearly 2,000 names to bring the display to the UK. She says, "This isn't just my petition. I'm starting it on behalf of everyone who wants to see the exhibition in its home town."

The Scottish designer, who committed suicide last year wanted to ensure that his pets would be pampered and taken care of for the rest of their lives so his will entrusted them with close to $82,000.
The dogs, named Minter, Juice and Callum, received as much as each of his housekeepers and his nieces and nephews.

The Russian hottie walked the red carpet in a blue-feathered Alexander McQueen dress that showed off her seriously long legs. The dress was altered for Maria’s liking, as the original one seen on the runway was actually a long gown. I saw Maria on the red carpet yesterday and I spotted her from miles away because she was a) super tall and b) stunning.

And when I say past, I mean about 5 years ago.
While on her North American tour, one of the outfits Kate wore a cream colored Alexander McQueen dress.

The annual exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute, which focused on Alexander McQueen's 'Savage Beauty,' will now close on August 7.
They're also launching the “Met Mondays with McQueen” program that will kick off on Monday June 6.

While fashionistas everywhere were thrilled with Kate Middleton’s choosing Alexander McQueen to design her wedding dress, it’s a little bittersweet, as McQueen never got to see his label go into royal history.
After Alexander McQueen’s death, Sarah Burton took over. Burton personally worked with Kate Middleton to design her wedding dress, which is already legendary.
Sarah studied art at Manchester Polytechnic before she moved to London to study print fashion at Central St. Martins.
After three years, Burton took part in a year’s work placement at Alexander McQueen. She officially joined the brand in 1996. Four years later, Burton became head of womenswear, working next to McQueen.
On the morning of February 11, 2010, McQueen was found hanged in his wardrobe. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

If there’s one thing you should know about this family, it’s that they are indeed UNBREAKABLE.
Khloe looked fabulous on her big night wearing a to-die for Gucci black tuxedo jumpsuit from the Spring 2011 collection. The cleavage might have been a bit too much if she was wearing a skirt, but it looked classy because her legs were covered. She added some color to her outfit by carrying a yellow Balenciaga clutch. Well done Khloe!
Kourtney, who’s usually the best-dressed Kardashian, really disappointed last night. She was wearing a Missoni kaftan that made her look about 3 sizes bigger than she actually is. Better luck next time Kourt!
Kim looked like she can hurt anyone who got too close for comfort with her Alexander McQueen Resort 2011 top. Loved the top, but would have loved to have seen her wearing it with a skirt.
Gucci, Alexander McQueen…oh to be a Kardashian!
