Angelina Jolie's Chinchilla Poncho is Fake Fur

That was enough to send PETA into a frenzy. But movie execs were quick to defend the costume choice. They released a statement to the animal rights group ensuring them that it was faux fur. Rather than chinchilla, they said it was “synchilla.”
PETA breathed a big sigh of relief, taking to their blog to thank Angie for still committing to being anti-fur. We suppose she’s changed her ways in the last couple of years. Because according to Us Weekly, Jolie was spotted with son Maddox at the Edwards-Lowell fur boutique in Beverly Hills in November 2007.
It’s just easier for celebs to be anti-fur these days because PETA doesn't mess around if they do spot a celebrity wearing fur. And, like in Angie’s case, the faux material looks just like the real thing anyway!
