Fashion Recap from the 23rd Annual Palm Springs Film Festival
The Palm Springs Film Festival Awards Gala kicks off awards season in Hollywood, so you would expect the stars to be on their best red carpet behavior, right? Wrong. Some stars stunned this weekend, and others did not.

Angelina Jolie: Are you having deja vu with this look? Jolie really loves those flowy grecian inspired gowns and went with a greige (Grey-Beige?) Elie Saab gown with halter neckline. She kept her hair and make-up natural, as per usual, and for accessories she chose Brad Pitt.

Oliva Wilde: At first glance, I was like, did Olivia Wilde really wear a tank top to the Palm Springs International Film Festival? But then I saw the 360 degree photos and I was like, Oh damn girl! Wilde wore a black racer-back Monique Lhuillier Spring 2012 gown with side and back lace cutouts. She also debuted new ombre colored hair and was totally fun 'n flirty.

Charlize Theron: Theron stepped onto the carpet in an LBD. An LBD!? She wore an LBD to an awards show that is basically the training ground for the Oscars. You can wear LBDs to fancy Sushi restaurants in Hollywood! You can wear LBDs to Angelina Jolie's baby shower! You don't wear it on the red carpet where you might run into George Clooney! That being said, the actress did look great. The dress is from the Lanvin Spring 2012 collection and features a revealing slit and high neckline.

Michelle Williams: Is it just me, or is Michelle Williams getting more and more doll-like? Her twiggy haircut and her creepy "Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen smile" is making her look like a life-size Barbie doll: Celebrity Edition. Anyways, she wore a heavily beaded Miu Miu silk dress and some elegant and strappy Prada sandals. I'm not crazy about this look, I just think it would look better on the other pixie haired actress, Carey Mulligan.

Jessica Chastain: No. Just No. Jessica Chastain wore a Prabal Gurung dress in what I think is described as "evergreen." One time I wore this exact same dress, however I was 12 and going Christmas caroling. Chastains dress was very conservative with thick straps and geometric patchwork, and she really could have glammed it up. C'mon, this isn't the People's Choice Awards. Let's get it together.
