Anna Faris Debuts a Brunette Pixie Cut

The usually ditzy blonde actress Anna Faris has ditched her signature golden locks for a short cropped brunette do.

She chopped her hair for her new role in the Sacha Baron Cohen flick, “The Dictator,” she plays the owner of a health food store. I guess the darker shorter cut makes her look more like a granola child and fits the role.

She was last seen almost two weeks ago with his standard blonde hair, so it's not sure if the new do is a wig or not. I hope it's a wig, for her sake. I would hate for her to look like a brunette Jane Lynch all the time.

Changing her look is no problem for Faris, for her role in Scary Movie and Scary Movie 2 she died her hair black. However, right now she kind of looks like a poor mans Carey Mulligan with this new hairstyle.

“The Dictator” has been filming in Manhattan, where Cohen plays a dictator of a foreign nation who gets stranded in NYC and strikes up an unlikely friendship with Faris' character.

The film is set to open May of 2012.
