Anne Hathaway turned heads in Valentino this week.

The 29-year-old actress stepped out for the New York City Ballet Gala at the Lincoln Center in an old school romantic floor-length floral gown that had the red carpet coming up Val’s roses. It was all in support and tribute of the legendary designer who designed the costumes for four of the dance numbers performed at the ballet’s opening.

The Les Miserables star’s sheer gardenia pattern dress featured a dainty lace collar across the fashionista’s neckline that was definitely fab, not drab. Her fresh face make up really brought out the otherwise muted grey green colors that would’ve run the risk of looking dated and dreary if it weren’t for her adorable and contemporary pixie cut.

The pretty peacock train also brought out speculation on the train of another: her wedding dress. Finally, the designer has been revealed, and surprise—it’s Valentino, who revealed that he “did the dress” for Anne’s nuptials to fiancé Adam Shulman.

“She’s a very good friend of mine,” he said of the custom wedding gown he’s designing for her, “She’s like my daughter.”

The garden party didn’t stop with just Anne, though. Sarah Jessica Parker also arrived to the ball in a floral Valetino gown. The 47-year-old’s was a little more regal—also a sheer floor-length dress that was fastened at the waist with a gold gladiator-like belt. Sarah paired it with pointy purple stilettos, a purple flower in her hair, and a piled bun to match the purplish blue flower embroidery blooming throughout the ruffled frock.
