Anne Hathaway is Red Hot for Tod's
September 7, 2011 by: EMMA COLLINS

Wearing a simple, yet chic black dress, Anne was photographed with a red patent leather Tod’s handbag while clutching onto a blue leather bag. All while lounging on top of a red sports car. She’s got skillz. Just an average day, don’t mind me, I’m just gonna take a nap on this Ferrari.
The sexy shots were taken in London by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, and ads will hit fashion magazines in October.
"I have been a longtime fan of Tod's," the actress says in statement, "and was very excited to be a part of exploring a new side of their identity with the launch of their Signature Collection."
Anne isn’t the first pretty (famous) face to front Tod’s ads. Gwyneth Paltrow and Sienna Miller have also posed for the luxury brand. Celebrities: putting models out of business.
Tod’s new collection features electric blue, deep red, fuchsia, violet and black handbags. They’re reportedly trying to go after “new and younger clientele.”
"The designs are classic and the materials are of the highest quality. As a result, they don't grow older, they only grow better just like a woman," says Hathaway.
Tod’s Creative Director, Derek Lam, said of Anne: “She’s a multi-dimensional actress of great talent and universal appeal. She generates excitement based on the quality of her work, modern beauty and intelligence.”
Anne added: “The Tod’s brand symbolizes a commitment to quality, style and classic modernity. These are bags that age with you and never let you down.”
I’m surprised Valentino didn’t summon her for his new print ads. They’re practically BFF’s.
Anne showed up to the Valentino Haute Couture fashion show in Paris in July decked out in Valentino gear. She’s been a fan of the line for years, even wearing a red hot Valentino gown at the 2011 Academy Awards and even rocked a nude sparkling Valentino gown to the 2011 Met Ball.
Anne even accompanied Valentino at a special ceremony where he was inducted to the Rodeo Drive Style Walk Of Fame back in 2009. She’s been his muse for years, so I’m not sure why Valentino hasn’t snagged up Anne for his ads yet.
