After Anne Hathaway debuted that glittering iceberg she calls an engagement ring, we all wanted more details about the ring. Because who gets engaged without all her girlfriends screaming, "Let me see the ring!"

Hathaway's fiance, Adam Shulman is actually a jewelry designer himself, he enlisted the help of Kwiat Diamond and Fine Jewelry, because only the best for Annne Hathaway.

Shulman founded the James Banks jewelry line in 2011 with jeweler Heidi Nahser Fink, but went with Kwiat for Anne's special ring.

"We've known [Adam] for a long time," says Greg Kwiat, "and when he thought of proposing and buying an engagement ring, he though of Kwiat. Adam just wanted something beautiful, timeless and special."

Because Adam is an experienced jewelry designer, he knew exactly what he wanted for Hathaway's ring, "He knew the fit himself. He wanted something that would be perfect for Anne. We can't talk too much about the details, but he had a good sense of her style and he had a good sense of what he wanted to present."

When Hathaway announced the engagement, well not so much "announced" but rather, walked around with the ring right in the path of oncoming paparazzi, jewelry expert Michael O'Connor appraised the ring as a 6-carat, platinum and diamond ring worth about $150,000.

Damnnnn, that's some "Princess Diaries" sh-t.

Hathaway and Shulman have been together for three years and Anne is gushing over her new fiance. “I am very much in love with him, [only] Adam totally ruined my plan. I was really actually looking forward to a little alone time, and then I fell in love like a fool!” admits Hathaway.

Yep, Shulman was the rebound guy to her failed relationship with ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri who went to jail after defrauding investors millions of dollars and some other shady stuff.

But Hathaway is crazy for Shulman, so that's all that matters. "We hit it off immediately," says Hathaway, "But it took us a pretty long time to get together," but adds that once they got together, "thing sped up a bit - and I think I'll leave it at that."

She says that Shulman is super "mellow."

"So far, it's worked out great. Mellow doesn't always make for a good story, but it makes for a good life," says Hathaway.

Is it just me, or does Hathaway sound like she is quoting Coldplay lyrics? Either way, she's got a hunk of an engagement ring. Stay tuned while we patiently await the wedding dress details.
