Looks like Anne Hathaway literally got paid to stand there and look pretty
at last night’s Oscars.
An insider told US Magazine Hathaway received $750,000 to wear Tiffany & Co. jewelry while hosting Sunday night’s Academy Awards show.
Why aren’t I getting paid almost a million dollars to wear my jewelry? I guess Target just doesn’t do that sort of thing.
Another source claimed that Gwyneth Paltrow, who sang a song from Country Strong during the show, was paid $500,00 to wear Louis Vuitton jewelry. Paltrow wore a Louis Vuitton ring, brooch and earrings.
Unfortunately, I doubt anyone was paying attention to Paltrow’s jewelry during her performance. I’m pretty sure that was the part of the show where everyone got up to get a snack.
Reps for both actresses, as well as for Louis Vuitton and Tiffany & Co., told US the payment amounts are “incorrect.”
