The Olsen Twins launch TOMS Shoes + Row Collaboration

It was previously announced that the Olsen Twins label, "The Row" had teamed up with TOMS-shoes Shoes to launch a limited edition collection of exclusive TOMS shoes. The collection has finally arrived and the shoes do not disappoint.

If you thought the Olsen twins only designed overpriced white tee shirts, you were wrong, they design overpriced slip-on shoes as well. But wait, TOMS shoes are philanthropic, so you can drop some extra dough and feel good about it.

The shoes come in three categories, Plaid, Wool & Cashmere, and Herringbone. The regular TOMS shoes usually only come in canvas, so this is the designer version of TOMS. The shoes run from $98-$150, which is about 3 times the price of the average TOMS shoes.

In a statement, the shoes are described as "Italian-sourced wool and cashmere blends join together for luxurious comfort and natural beauty." There's nothing like the feeling of cashmere on your foot. After I finish bathing in rubies each morning, I like to pull on a pair of cashmere shoes.

If you aren't familiar with TOMS shoes, the brand takes advantage of the "One For One" model, which means that for every pair of TOMS purchased, a pair of TOMS everyday-walking shoes is sent to a child in need.

Mary Kate tells Women's Wear Daily, "Having the opportunity to be a part of something so meaningful has made the collaboration with TOMS special to everyone at The Row." The girls actually visited three different communities outside the city of Tegucigalpa in Central American and personally fitted kids with new TOMS shoes.

"We feel it's really important to spread awareness of the TOMS One for One mission. Together, TOMS and The Row customers will have the ability to give back and create change with a single purchase. The giving is immediate." said Ashley.

TOMS shoes is definitely expanding, this is its first designer collection, but they also launched TOMS eyewear. A collection of hipster sunglasses that provide prescription glasses or eye surgery for someone in need for every pair of sunglasses purchased.

These shoes are pretty much a side project for the Olsen's whose design endeavors are usually like $39,000 crocodile skin backpacks. Yep, offending PETA and your pocketbook.

The Olsen wins are actually on a philanthropy-designer kick. Their other line, Olsenboye, for JCPenney has commissioned the sisters to design a limited edition coin-purse whose proceeds with benefit underprivileged kids. The proceeds with go to Pennies from Heaven, which funds after-school activities.

OK Olsen Twins, you may not brush your hair ever, but designing shoes and handbags to benefit kids. You're okay in my book.
