Best Dressed at the 2011 Emmy Awards
The Red Carpet at the Emmy’s this year was the Red Dresses versus the Sequined Gowns.

While some actresses sizzled in red-on-the-Red-Carpet, others stunned in sparkles. Here are our picks for Best Dressed from this years Emmy Awards.

Christina Hendricks: When does Christina Hendricks not look amazing? Never. Ever. You could put her in a paper bag and that red hair and those curves will always make it work. Exuding Old Hollywood glamour, Hendricks was wearing a custom made rose and gold Johanna Johnson dress set with Swarovski stones, Christian Louboutin shoes, a Judith Lieber clutch and Palladium jewelry.

Lea Michele: Michele was dressed head to toe in red-carpet red. She looked elegant and confident in Marchesa. Kelly Osbourne joked that she tried to get a Marchesa gown herself but the design house said they were only dressing one person at the Emmy’s, Ms. Lea Michele. The dress had a low scooping back and Michele finished off the look with Manolo Blahnik shoes and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Kate Winslet: By now, Kate Winlset has probably walked more red carpets than normal carpets. She looked beautiful in a red Elie Saab dress. The dress was slender and chic but also looked really comfortable.

Kerry Washington: Actress Kerry Washington was both sparkly and red hot. She stunned in a Zuhair Murad strapless gown with silk tulle skirt and hand embroidered red pearls.

Julie Bowen: Bowen, plays the mom on “Modern Family” and also took home the award for Supporting Actress in A Comedy Series, was gorgeous in a beaded and sequined Oscar De La Renta gown with a plunging neckline. Claire Danes: The actress, who is starring in Showtime’s new series Homeland was on team-sparkles last night. She wore a blue sequined strapless gown by Oscar de la Renta and looked like a shimmery skyscraper in a dress!

Gwyneth Paltrow: The “Contagion” actress wore a beaded black sequined Pucci dress with a sheer midriff that looked like a fancy crop top. The dress had a low scoop back and she paired it with Roger Vivier sandals.

Sophia Vergara: Vergara was another actress sizzling in red, though it was on the pinkish/orange side. While she always looks amazing and knows exactly how to dress her curves, she wore a single strap red/orange Vera Wang dress with giant chandelier earrings.
