Worst Dressed at the 2011 Emmy Awards

Olivia Munn: Olivia Munn’s Emmy dress screamed “Welcome to Emerald City.” She wore a bright green Carolina Herrera gown. Like did she go to the Carolina Herrera sample sale? What did she tell her stylist, “I’m going for a Christmas look”? Let’s just say I wasn’t “green with envy.”
Zooey Deschanel: Deschanel wore a pink strapless Monique Lhullier gown that looked like a middle America bridesmaid, or a Mall-of-American pageant winner, or the queen of a bubble gum factory (yah that’s right, bubble gum factory). C’mon! Where is your plunging back and 6-foot train!? But then again, this is Zooey Deschanel who is supposed to be “quirky” or something…or at least that’s what hot guys have been telling me…
Amy Poehler: I love my funny lady Amy Poehler, but this outfit bombed. Her dress was Peter Som and was basically a metallic blue shiny t-shirt dress. Like I’m sure I saw that at American Apparrel and it was described as “Lady Gaga’s sleep t-shirt.”
Heidi Klum: Heidi Klum may have worked in the fashion industry her entire career and hosts the design competition show, “Project Runway,” but her red-carpet dress was kind of a miss. She wore a nude colored tulle knee length dress with a tulle flower trim. The dress was by Christian Siriano, winner of season 4 of “Project Runway.” Siriano designs shoes for Payless, soooo Klum probably should have left her dress to a professional. Just sayin.
Alan Cumming: Alan Cumming is a cool wacky actor-type, but he walked the red carpet in a pink plaid blazer, bright orange pants and some tortoiseshell glasses which would be totally awesome if he was in a window display at Urban Outfitters, but not totally awesome for a Red Carpet.
Julianna Margulies: Margulies may have won the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, but that outfit was not outstanding. The actress wore a white silk gown by Giorgio Armani Prive with a structured bustier which really just looked like a silk back brace. Let’s call a spade a spade, okay?
Kristin Wiig: I guess comediennes don’t believe in stylists. The SNL actress wore a little brown gown by Zac Posen which I’m sure she uses as a bed sheet when she’s not walking down red carpets. Hey, I’m just calling it like I see it, and I saw Kristin Wiig drape brown drapes around her body and call it Zac Posen.
