Beyonce admits that she hasn’t been on a strict diet regime since giving birth to Blue Ivy Carter in January, but says she got slim because of breast-feeding.
Ah Ha! So that’s how all of Hollywood loses their post-baby weight so quickly! I knew it wasn’t just portion control and pilates #MirandaKerrBeyonceJessicaAlbaRachelZoe!
Beyonce told People magazine, “I lost most of my weight from breast-feeding and I encourage women to do it, it’s just so good for the baby and good for yourself.”
However, Beyonce does admit she did do some normal athletic activity; you can’t lose all that weight from pumping and dumping alone!
“I counted calories,” says Beyonce, “I worked out maybe three to four times a week. I did a lot of walking in the beginning and now I’m running. But I had to work my way up. I couldn’t just go right from being pregnant to running.”
You’ve got to ease yourself in to rigorous workouts like running, whether you’re working yourself up from having just given birth, or having just walked out of an In-N-Out, the key is to not over exert yourself.
Beyonce also admitted that she beautified herself just before checking in to the hospital so she wouldn’t look totally wretch for the obligatory post-baby twit pic.
“I did have a fresh eyebrow wax. I got my nails done, I got my feet done, had my hair done and I had my little lip gloss,” admits Queen B.
Also, this might come as a shocker to you, but even celebrities look bad after giving birth.
“I didn’t feel that I looked beautiful during birth but who does? After being pumped with all those fluids and gaining so much weight. I barely recognized myself. But after many hours of labor I could care less about anything but my child. I didn’t care how I looked.”
