Britney Launches Perfume for her Gay Fans

Britney Spears wants her gay fans to know how much she appreciated them, so she’s launched a new perfume geared just for them!

The perfume isn’t actually real—it was created as a spoof for the NewNowNext Awards, which celebrates the best in gay pop culture.

In the new ad, Brit spoofs her old perfume commercials, pretending she’s come up with her best idea yet, “Mo” fragrance. Her tag line is, “One spray and the gays will run your way!"

NewNowNext executive producer Christopher Willey tells MTV.com, "She's having fun with her gay audience, because she's an official gay icon at such a young and tender age. She has this natural rapport with the gay community. I think she just really likes her gay fans and she sees this as a way to talk directly to them, which she hasn't really done before."

The NewNowNext Awards will air on Saturday, June 13th at 9PM. The event will be hosted by RuPaul, and will feature performances by Vanessa Williams, Cheyenne Jackson, Morningwood, and of course, Britney.
