Britney Spears Too Incompetent to Testify in Court For Fragrance Lawsuit

Britney Spears is too incompetent to testify in court.

Femme Fatale singer is being sued by Brand Sense Partners for $10 million when Britney two-timed the company when she claimed to be working on a fragrance with the brand and instead entered into a deal with Elizabeth Arden.

“They [Brand Sense Partners] claim that while she was working with the company, she failed to tell them about a project that she was also working on with Elizabeth Arden.”

Now the company is suing Brit, but her lawyers claim she is not competent enough to appear in court and give sworn testimony. Can you do that? Can you just refuse to give a deposition because you are cray cray? Apparently. Without approval from her conservator, Britney cannot legally be forced to testify.

How incompetent do you have to be to refuse to be sued? If Britney is so incompetent that she can’t put her hand on a bible and tell the truth, should we be letting Britney wear 6-inch stilettos and dance anywhere near Rihanna while holding a whip? Probably not.

Last month Britney’s mom was sued for defamation by Britney’s former manager, Sam Lufti. Not surprisingly, Britney’s conservators and lawyers refused to have her testify on the same grounds of incompetence.
