Britney Spears: Working Out is Hardest Part of My Day

Britney Spears may be on a grueling world tour. She’s gone through a divorce. She’s raised two kids before turning 30. She’s battled her fair share of personal problems in front of the paparazzi, but Britney Spears says the hardest part of her day is going to the gym.

"Trying to get up and go work out in the morning [is hard]. I haven't worked out in, like, two weeks," she tells The UK's Stylist magazine, "Sometimes it's hard to be motivated. But once you get up and do it you feel like you've conquered the world."

I love how much of a “first world” problem this is. Ugh, it’s so hard to wake up in the morning to work out. Ugh, it’s so hard to find time to steam my face every night. Ugh, it’s so hard to find decent almond milk in the Midwest.

However, she may force herself to workout but Britney is also apparently a huge fan of “chocolate. Definitely chocolate.”

“I love Scores, with the caramel in the middle” says the star, “and every once in a while if I’m really hungry then a Snickers bar is good. And M&M’s are great, Hershey’s Whoppers are great, Raisinettes…Twixes are great, too. And the new Hershey’s Cookies & Cream.”

Two things: Hershey’s Cookies & Creams has actually been around for 8 years, so it’s not nn fact, “new.” Also can we talk about how Britney Spears just went off in an interview and listed candy bars? Oh Britney, don’t ever change.

However, let’s get to the serious stuff, like, what do her kids think when they see Britney’s videos. If they saw the video for “Criminal,” do they think, “Why is mommy and mommy’s boyfriend robbing a convenience store?”

“I think they’re starting to understand that it’s part of my work and what I do. It’s part of mommy being a performer. And being a performer, one of the things that entails is playing different characters and having fun and doing different things,” says Britney.

Britney also speaks up when talking about actor Ryan Gosling who was once on the Mickey Mouse club with Britney Spears back in the day.

“Oh, I’m a huge fan; I think he’s amazing. I think he’s a wonderful little actor. He definitely has that ‘something’ on film; on camera, which is really cool. So I’m very happy for him.”

Surprisingly she didn’t mention the “Occupy The Sexiest Man Alive,” which is a current protest of fans claiming that Ryan Gosling is way hotter than Bradley Cooper, who was just announced as People Magazines Sexiest Man Alive. Britney always struck me as a “Team Ryan” kind of girl.

Anyways, since Britney is a music artist, let’s talk about music. What does Britney Spears listen to?

“I usually listen to a lot of hip-hop in my dressing room when I'm getting ready," says Brit, "And I like a lot of rock stuff like Aerosmith. That really gets me going and pumps me up. And then of course, there's Jessie J and Adele."

I think she said “of course there’s Jessie J and Adele” because this was an interview with a UK magazine and those are two ladies are British, because ordinarily, Adele music would not “pump” anyone “up.”
