Earlier this month Hermes won a $100 million dollar judgment against counterfeit retailers and now Burberry is getting their slice of the cake. The luxury brand is the latest brand to win a lawsuit against counterfeit designer goods.
A judge awarded the luxury brand $100 million dollar against Chinese internet counterfeiters, reports WWD.
The defendants were selling at least 22 different types of Burberry trademarks and surprise, surprise, they didn't bother showing up in court.
The judge also awarded them an injunction against the websites and ordered that their domain names be tranferred to Burberry.
In addition to that, Google, Facebook and Twitter will be held accountable for associating with the websites.
