Carey Mulligan Puts Met Gala Gown on Ebay
On Monday night Carey Mulligan wore a stunning gold and silver paillette-covered scaled halter neck dress by Prada to the 2012 Met Gala.

The dress is now for sale on Ebay. Not a similar dress, I’m talking about the one that Mulligan actually wore. Yeah, you weirdo fashionfiles out there, get your credit cards ready.

So far there are 7 bids placed on the dress with a current bid of $1,025.00.
Trends From the 2012 Met Gala
They call the Met Gala, the “fashion Oscars” but it is far more glamorous than the Oscars and the fashion ranges from safe and subtle, to demure and chic, to crazy and catwalk. We’ve rounded up the standout trends from this years 2012 Met Gala.

Capes:

Gwyneth Paltrow started the cape trend with the white Tom Ford cap gown she wore to the 2012 Oscars. Clearly the trend has caught on.

Lana Del Rey: Lana wore a silver Joseph Altuzarra dress with a black cape. Lana walked the red carpet with the designer, who said the look is the “embodiment of her music.”

2012 Met Gala Best Dressed
The Met Gala is the fashion world’s answer to the Oscars. The style is more daring, the attendees come from every inch of the entertainment world, and overall it’s just so much more fabulous than the Oscars.

This year’s Costume Institute Gala Benefit is celebrating the opening of the Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations exhibition and the whole event is co-chaired by Carey Mulligan, Vogue editor Anna Wintour and designer Miuccia Prada

Here are the Best Dressed Stars from the 2012 Met Gala:

Camilla Belle: The young actress looked lovely in a Ralph Lauren Collection ivory tulle beaded dress with champagne python sandals. She looks like she was painted in gold flakes.

Scarlet Johansson: I wish Johansson had put more effort into her hair, but her Dolce & Gabbana dress is ah-mah-zing. This one-of-a-kind gown was made of a bustier embroidered with gold thread and pearls and a nude colored long tulle skirt.

Carey Mulligan Wore Custom Prada Wedding Dress
Carey Mulligan said ‘I Do’ to Mumford & Sons rocker Marcus Mumford on Saturday, and she was anything but a traditional bride.

The adorable actress wore a custom made cream Prada gown, but paired it with pink Wellington rain boots.

Her eight bridesmaids also wore Prada in different shades of blue. You can never go wrong with Prada, ladies.
Kate Middleton, JT and Gaga Make Vanity Fair's Best Dressed List
Every year Vanity Fair compiles it's list of the best dressed style icons in the world. The 72nd annual Vanity Fair best dressed list includes different categories such as "International Best-Dressed," "Best Dressed Couples" and "Fashion Originals."

Those lucky stylish stars who make the list are voted on by "fashion insiders." A Vanity Fair correspondent Amy Collins says it's no surprise that the UK's favorite new muse Kate Middleton made the international best-dressed list. Middleton's fashion claim-to-fame is because she has brought back fashion items like "hats and nude stockings," and that "she also knows how to combine clothes that are mass market [or] off-the-rack with real designer clothes," says Collins.
Carey Mulligan Ditches Her Brown Hair
Carey Mulligan must have heard us begging and pleading to ditch the brown hair because she showed up to Comic Con in San Diego with a shorter blonder do.

Carey was one of the first people in Hollywood to sport a blonde pixie cut, but when everyone started to follow, she decided to grow it out and dye it brown. Not a good idea.
Carey Mulligan Credits Olsens For Landing Great Gatsby Role
Remember The Great Gatsby? You know, that book and movie you were forced to read and watch in high school?

Well, they’re remaking the movie and it’s set to be released next year.

The 2012 version will star Leonardo Dicaprio and Carey Mulligan.

Carey Mulligan says that when she was auditioning for the role she turned to the Olsen sisters for fashion advice. She was panicking because she was going against other stars like Scarlett Johansson and Blake Lively, so she really wanted to nail the audition.

Mulligan tells Vogue magazine, "I couldn't believe what they did when I texted in a panic about having nothing to wear for my audition for Gatsby.

"I was hoping they'd send me some things from (their label) The Row, but then these huge boxes arrived - Ashley's entire collection of thirties vintage dresses."

I guess dressing for the part will help you actually get the part right? Good technique!
Best Dressed Women of the Year Revealed
Harper's Bazaar just revealed their list of the best dressed women of 2010, and I'm convinced there was a huge print error because they choose Carey Mulligan as their number one gal.

Don't get me wrong, Carey's super cute, but she hardly qualifies to be named Best Dressed, she doesn't even like fashion!

The fashion hater even beat out designer/fashionista Victoria Beckham and Kate Moss.

So why the hell did they choose Carey? They claim she has a "retro-modern look." I call it 'I'm uncomfortable wearing anything trendy so I threw this on instead'.

Carey recently said: "I don't really care that much about fashion, I just have a brilliant stylist who dresses me, and in my own life, I'm pretty simple. So that side of things has been wearing." See, she said it herself! I'm disappointed in Harper's choice! But here's the rest of the list anyway:

Harper's Bazaar's Best Dressed Woman of 2010 list:

1. Carey Mulligan
2. Victoria Beckham
3. Yasmin Le Bon
4. Alexa Chung
5. Florence Welch
6. Kristin Scott Thomas
7. Tilda Swinton
8. Natalia Vodianova
9. Natalie Massenet
10. Samantha Cameron
11. Gwyneth Paltrow
12. Andrea Dellal
13. Kate Moss
14. Bianca Jagger
15. Stella McCartney
16. Sienna Miller
17. Sam Taylor-Wood
18. Charlotte Dellal
19. Shingai Shoniwa
20. Coco Sumner
Kim, Jessica and Carey Lace It Up!
Loving the latest trend I’ve been seeing on Hollywood’s leading ladies lately.

People usually cover up during the fall/winter season, but celebs have found a way to keep it sexy even during the cold winter.

Kim Kardashian, Jessica Biel and Carey Mulligan have all been spotted recently exposing their bras by wearing lace tops. Love it!

Jessica and Carey are a bit more conservative then Kim and that’s why they wore below the knee loose skirts with their tops, but we know Kim likes things really tight.

Celebrity Hair Trend: The Pixie
Say goodbye to "The Boho" and hello to "The Pixie." Playing it safe is so last season, and Hollywood stars are giving “mini” new meaning with this short hairdo.

Harry Potter star Emma Watson shocked the world when she chopped of her long locks recently, but it was a long time coming. The actress tweeted, “I've wanted to do this for years and years; it's the most liberating thing ever. Hope you like."

We must say, we do like! She’s got such an angelic face and delicate features, and the shorn locks fit her nicely. Another young actress sporting the pixie is Carey Mulligan, who debuted it at the 2010 Oscars. And just this week, actress Anne Hathaway was spotted sporting the hot look in Paris while on the set of her new film “one Day.” We prefer the longer dark locks on her personally, but don’t worry because hers is just a wig for the movie!

Before you whip out those sheers, you should know this hair trend is not easy to pull off. Celebrity hairstylist Byron Williams from Byron & Tracey salon in Beverly Hills tells Hollyscoop, "To get the pixie cut you need to first look at the bone structure of the face, make sure you have a good jaw and neck line, yet petite features."

In addition it is easy to take care of. "To maintain the pixie cut, you need to get it cut every 4 weeks,” says Byron.

But once you have it, you’re golden! Williams explained, “It is the easiest haircut to have, just wash and go. Maybe run a little textured cream through your hair."

Other stars that have sported “the pixie” in the past includes Natalie Portman, Halle Berry, Rihanna, Katie Holmes, Keira Knightley and Victoria Beckham.

What do you think of the Pixie trend?
