The numbers are combined with consumer interviews to rank the luxury brands.
Chanel Pre-Spring/Summer 2013 Runway Report
Karl Lagerfeld travels to a private enchanted garden in a section of Versailles to debut his Chanel Pre-Spring/Summer 2013 collection.

The outdoor catwalk made for a perfect backdrop for a show that was heavily inspired by young French aristocrats in the 18th century.

“Cara Delevigne opened the show with a colored short fringe hair piece and a baby blue dress. The hair was a highlight throughout – each girl with a different sorbet hue,” as excerpted from Vogue.com.

Paris Fashion Week: Chanel Fall Ready-to-Wear 2012
Karl Lagerfeld presented an especially icy Fall 2012 Chanel collection. Models like Cara Delevingne and Miranda Kerr stomped out down the runway, emerging from a sort of crystal ice cave and a ground covered to look like snow.

A good portion of the collection was a reinvention of the traditional tweed boucle suit. Hoods were added and tweed jackets were turned into jacquard parkas with peplum hips and paired with straight-legged tweed slacks to reinvigorate the traditional suit silhouette.

Star Studded Chanel 2012 Paris Runway Show
More of Hollywood elite showed up for Chanel’s Spring 2012 Couture show in Paris.

Cameron Diaz has been making the rounds at nearly every show during Paris Fashion week. She must really love fashion, either that or she’s “studying for a role” which is what celebrities claim whenever they are caught doing a lot of something. All the buffets I’ve been visiting all month have been…research…for a role…obviously.

Alice Dellal New Face of Marc Jacobs
The edgy and punk rock London socialite, Alice Dellal, has been named the new face of Marc Jacobs. Known for her half-shaved head and rocker attire, the musician slash model slash “her dad is rich”-heiress will front the brands spring/summer 2012 collection alongside model Erik Andersson.

Despite her punk inspired usual look, in the ads she is wearing a collection of bright girly dresses and delicate heels with ankle straps. Ankle strap heels? For a rock chick? A chunky wedge, sure, but ankle straps? Avril Lavigne would NEVER!
Karl Lagerfeld: Coco Chanel Would Have "Hated" What I'm Doing
Karl Lagerfeld thinks Coco Chanel would hate what he's done with the company.

How to run a company according to Lagerfeld means, saying "screw you" to the person that gave you your job.

"I have it in my blood," says the flamboyant designer, "When I was asked to Chanel, it was not trendy at all. I made something of it because I was given total freedom by the owner. What I do Coco would have hated. It's my job to keep Chanel updated."

When Lagerfeld took over Chanel, the owner said, "I'm not proud of the business. If you can make something, OK. If not, I'll sell it. What I did, [Coco Chanel] never did....The label has an image, it's up to me to update it."
Karl Lagerfeld's Spring/Summer 2012 Collection Inspired by the Sea
Karl Lagerfeld unveiled his spring/summer 2012 ready to wear collection for Chanel in Paris today and the collection was nothing out of the ordinary. Simple outlines and lose cuts. Conservative meets chic.

With Karl, we know what to expect as he keeps true to the Chanel brand with the tweed jackets and little black dresses. The majority of the collection was white, off white or nude with some black thrown in for good measure.

Florence Welch performed during the white wonderland. The stage replaced the massive iceberg and volcanic landscapes of seasons past. There was a simplistic elegance to the collection. Lots of white, lots of pearls. Karl not only used layered pearls around the neckline, but also as belts. Very Chanel.

Kate Bosworth: Stunning in Chanel
How can you go wrong with Chanel, right?

Kate Bosworth was a vision in white at the red carpet premiere for Another Happy Day at the Deauville American Film Festival in France this weekend.

She looked stunning donning this beautiful white dress, which she paired with Christian Louboutin nude pumps. Her hair was swept back in a formal updo and it looked as if she had toned down her platinum blonde hair. If there’s a look Kate does well on the carpet, it’s simple chic. Never underestimate simplicity.
