Video: Brad Pitt Debuts Chanel No.5 Ad
Brad Pitt's looking a little nervous in the new Chanel No.5 ads. And though perfume commercials are known for being really, really weird, 'frightened' and 'confused' is probably not such a great "man's perspective" to be showcasing in your fragrance ads.

As the first male spokesface for the iconic fragrance, Brad is supposed to talk to the perfume like he's talking to a lady. What comes across in the commercial spot is that he's talking to the Chanel No.5 like he's talking to a lady who's desperately stalking him.

"Wherever I go, there you are," he whispers huskily, crinkling his left eye at the camera. As he says the name of the perfume (not a lady he's talking to here, psych!), it flies out of space like Felix Baumgartner, presumably to hunt Brad down.

They also opted to style him as Grungy Brad rather than Sleek Brad, a strange sort of choice for a fragrance that touts itself as one of the most sophisticated scents out there. Past campaigns have featured Catherine Deneuve, Audrey Tatou and Nicole Kidman all looking inhumanly svelte and elegant, so it's all really quite a departure for Chanel.

The scent, which was created in 1921 from over 80 ingredients, has been a favorite for decades. Meaning they can do whatever the hell they want with their ad campaigns, even if it means locking Brad Pitt in a room, telling him they've been watching him for a long time and filming the result.
