More of Hollywood elite showed up for Chanel’s Spring 2012 Couture show in Paris.
Cameron Diaz has been making the rounds at nearly every show during Paris Fashion week. She must really love fashion, either that or she’s “studying for a role” which is what celebrities claim whenever they are caught doing a lot of something. All the buffets I’ve been visiting all month have been…research…for a role…obviously.
Elizabeth Olsen also turned up for the runway show, and while her older sister Mary-Kate and Ashley are runway fixtures, this is Lizzie’s first time front row for Chanel.
Johhny Depp’s longtime partner Vanessa Paradis and also long-time Chanel ambassador wore black and white in honor of the show.
Alice Dellal, whose been named the new face of the Boy Chanel bag collection, was there in her signature rocker look and shaved head.
The show was presented in an Air Chanel jumbo jet that was built in the Grand Palais specifically for the show, complete with airplane seats for guests.
The collection features a rainbow of subdued tones like blues, blacks and creams in structured suits, dresses and jackets that were meant to be as streamlined as the luxury Air Chanel jet.
According to Karl Lagerfeld this collection wasn’t meant to be “vintage.”
“No ‘50s, no ‘60s, no ‘70s; just what I like,” says Lagerfeld.
The evening collection featured organza cocktail dresses in the signature color palette, accented by crystals, beads, and sequins.
