Nars to Launch Andy Warhol Inspired Makeup
Pop Art for your face! Nars Cosmetics is launching a color cosmetics collection this fall inspired by the great pop artist Andy Warhol.

The brand is under license with the Andy Warhol Foundation and is created by Nars founder Francois Nars and is set to be the brands largest collaboration so far.

This limited edition collection of bright hues is supposed to mimic Andy Warhol’s famous prints of celebs and cans of Campbell soups.

It’s the perfect time for bright make-up inspired by pop art. The world is moving towards very bright cosmetics, and I think the trends is spearheaded by Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry, both known for their cartoonish hair and bright pink lips.

The last Nars collaboration was with Guinness heiress and fashion icon Daphne Guinness, who posed for the brand in the bright purple eyeshadow they named after her.

“She fits the image of the brand so well. She's very creative and elegant and is a chameleon,” Francois explained, “And she really loves make-up - the whole process of it. Any makeup artist dreams of having someone like that as a muse."
