Diane von Furstenberg will be collaborating with Roxy for a line of surf and swimwear to launch next spring, combining her signature prints with Roxy’s beachwear.

The 35 piece collection will retail for between $38 to $88, which is less than those H&M designer collabs (and also safer, as you probably won’t have to brave a thrashing mob in a Billabong store to get your hands on the DVF/Roxy pieces; they’ll be sold online too).

“I am so excited to work with Roxy,” the designer told WWD. “We wanted to empower women to go for it and ride the wave.” Aww.

Roxy partnered with designer Cynthia Rowley for a pretty awesome pastel line last year, so if the past is any indication it looks like this line is going to be pretty solid.

It’s not DVF’s first partnership either: she’s worked with Gap, Gapkids, Current/Elliot, and will be part of Target and Neiman Marcus’ massive designer collaboration monster this year.

She also collaborated with Evian water on a limited edition bottle to be released this November (Christian Lacroix and ISsey Miyake have done these as well), which is decidedly stranger than her designing surfwear. Especially if the bottle is wearing a little wrap dress, which is also the only reason I would ever buy one.
