Dita Von Teese Launches "Muse" Clothing Collection
October 28, 2011 by: MADISON VANDERBERG

The Dita Von Teese "Muse" collection will be sold exclusively through Australian retailer David Jones and will allow shoppers to steal her ladylike look.
The limited edition collection is only five pieces but includes "vintage-inspired dresses and tulle layered trench coat."
A tulle layered layered trench coat? That sounds completely non functional.
Either way, the collection should be reminiscent of her personal style, so tiny waists, vintage inspiration, pin-up, and expert detailing. The collection goes on sale at David Jones in February 2012. Though don't expect any jeans or menswear in the capsule collection. "Marlene [Dietrich] would not wear jeans," says Dita, speaking about the old Hollywood star, aka one of her idols.
Dita attended the launch of the line in Melbourne, Australia yesterday wearing a bright pink and red floral print dress and hot pink pumps.
While in the land down undah, she attended the country's Derby Days where she told a mag, "Well, I know a lot about glamour and wearing hats. I've been told not to expect to see a race, just plenty of glamorous women."
This isn't the only venture on Dita's upcoming slate. Earlier this month she celebrated the launch of her perfume, Femme Totale. She attended a party at Soho House in Berlin, Germany to launch the fragrance.
Dita also teamed up with Cointreau to create her own cocktail called the Cointreau Teese and the MargaDita. It's no surprise she has her own cocktail. She became famous for performing a Burlesque dance (or tease or whatever they are called) in an oversized martini class.
Of her Cointreau collaboration she says, "It's a really iconic brand and being famous for bathing in a cocktail glass, it seemed kinda natural that I would team up with a spirit brand."
But don't expect her to get liquored up and start stumbling into the blinding lights of TMZ's camera crew at some LA clubs.
"Well, I'm very adept at knowing my limits, and you've never seen any images of me stumbling out of a club with too many drinks. I'm really careful about not dimming my lister by drinking too much."
While in Australia promoting her new collection she also gave a few interviews and these sound bites on what it means to be a woman.
"Being sexy is not about what men want, or how young you are or how your body looks or how much money you have. It's a certain inner confidence, a comfort level when you've learned something about yourself, what makes you happy..."
