The collection is what Donatella Versace is describing as a “Versace greatest hits” including replica’s from the Versace archives. Most of the collection is bold and bright patterns that suggest the opulence of retro Versace.
All the stars came out for the event in New York including Jessica Alba, Emma Roberts, Chace Crawford, Blake Lively, Abbie Cornish, Selma Blair, Chloe Moretz, Zachary Quinto, Uma Thurman, Zoe Kravitz and more. Even Oprah Winfrey was there. I can only assume she got lost on the way to a White House dinner.

Donatella Versace, who took over as Vice President of Versace in 1997 – says she is inspired by young people and likes Lady Gaga because Gaga doesn’t wear what she’s told; basically Donatella loves artists like Gaga and Nicki Minaj because they don’t give a f-ck.
“Of course I love Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj, they’re not afraid to dare. It’s been a while since someone went out there and didn’t listen too much to the marketing people. You still have to listen to them but not 100 percent,” reveals Donatella.

Versace is coming to H & M!
That is so excited considering the fact that most of us would die to have a Versace piece and most of us probably can't afford it. This is the answer to all our prayers.
H & M announced an Autumn collaboration with Versace and will hit stores in November just in time for the Christmas holiday.

After watching ‘The Tourist’ last night (don’t judge me) I realize why she’s been wearing these kinds of dresses on the press tour--she’s having difficulty breaking out of character.
Dress completely aide, what's with the gloves? After close examination, it appears they're built into the dress. Perfect for the psycho who wants to look sexy while strangling someone to death!
Angelina has been wearing a lot of Versace on her press tour, and you would think with all the sexy dresses by the designer, she would choose some that actually are hot! Nope, not Angie because she opts for built in velour gloves instead of stunners.
Brad accompanied Angie to the premiere and judging by his outfits lately, he’s slipped in to an all-black coma as well. These two are morphing into each other...It's a slow transition, but I see it!

According to Showbiz Spy, Gaga said, “I'd love to have my own collection. It's something I want to accomplish. I find Donatella a fashion icon and in many ways fashion and music go together.”
A source close to the singer says she was deeply affected by the death of Alexander McQueen, which is the reason she wants to jump start her fashion line. “Gaga is a workaholic. She is always coming up with new ideas,” added the insider.
“She's always loved fashion and it just seems natural for her to create her own collection.”
We’re all for Gaga branching out into the fashion world, as long as it means she doesn’t stray too far away from music!

Last night was a huge celebration for designer Donatella Versace. The Italian designer launched Versace Menswear at Barney’s in New York City.
Naturally, Donatella brought in her close pals, which included director Woody Allen, Busta Rhymes, Patti LaBelle among others.
We hate to say anything derogatory about Donatella because we think her work is genius but she really needs to lay off of the tanning spray and let go of the bleach. Its time to move on.

Finally some excitement in Milan. Donatella Versace unveiled her fall 2008 collection for Versace. The big trend from this show was the asymmetric shoulder cuts from casual wear to evening. We love the Fall line not to mention the 11 beautiful gowns designed just in time for the 80th Academy Awards.
DV couldn’t bring her good pal Jennifer Lopez since she was giving birth at the time, but did manage to pull in Hollywood beauty Megan Fox, Mr. McDreamy, Patrick Dempsey and glamorous girl Fergie.

As we reported a few weeks back Patrick Dempsey is the new face of Versace.
He's really excited about the ads and he said that “It was so lovely to work with Donatella Versace, she is an iconic and inspirational woman and a wonderful person, not to mention what a pleasure it was to work with Mario Testino, too, one of the world’s finest photographers.”
Well here are some of the ad campaigns that we will be seeing around town and in the magazines.

Dr. McDreamy has got a new dreamy job. Patrick Dempsey has signed on to be the new face of Versace's ad campaign for Spring 2008.
Dempsey has already shot the ad campaigns which will start running in magazines and billboards in February.
Isn't it interesting how ones career works out? Dempsey was one of the hottest actors in the 80's then his career completely died out and now once again, 20 years later he is a hot commodity.
