Eva Mendes Sings in New Commercial
Eva Mendes is the new face of Thierry Mugler fragrance “Angel” but looking pretty for print ads for the perfume isn’t her only covergirl duty.

Mendes will sing in the upcoming commercial for the fragrance. Eva wasn’t originally scheduled to sing, but went she got to set she started singing along to the song “The Windmills of Your mind,” which was to be used in the shoot. Everyone loved her singing voice so much they decided to incorporate her singing into the commercial.
Eva Mendes Angel Ads Released
“Did it hurt when you fell from heaven? Cuz girl you’re an angel.”

That’s how I imagine the meeting went when Eva Mendes signed on to be the new face of Thierry Mugler fragrance, Angel.

The Thierry Mugler Angel ads feature an angelic and intergalactic Mendes sporting a bottle of the Eau De Toilette. The first ad has Mendes in a sexified version of the Alice in Wonderland blue frock while she holds a glowing bottle of the perfume.

Eva Mendes' Fashion Obsession: Floral House Dresses
Eva Mendes is prepping for a new role in the re-make of “Little House on the Prairie.” No? Being added as an extra wife on “Big Love?” Going to lunch with the Duggar family?

Nope, none of the above. Eva Mendez just loves to wear this, “I’m all about little house dresses...
Eva Mendes Fails in Gucci

It pains me to write this because I am such a huge Eva Mendes fan, but I cannot let this go unnoticed.

Did Eva think it was a good idea to borrow her feisty grandmother’s dress for a night out at the Tribeca Film Festival?

I get that the dress is from the Gucci Fall 2011 collection and anything Gucci is supposed to be fabulous, but this dress does not look good on Eva.

The color is beautiful and Eva is lucky that she is so ravishing that she still looks somewhat cute, but the dress should have stayed home.

It feels as if she was at her granny's house and she had nothing to wear to the red carpet so her nana went to her trunk and picked out this dress “that I wore on my first date with your dada.”

What do you guys think of Eva’s dress? Am I being too cynical?

Eva Mendes Takes Over Naomi Watts' Job
Naomi Watts has just been replaced by Eva Mendes as the face of Thierry Mugler’s fragrance for women, Angel.

Eva has done a bunch of modeling for brands like Calvin Klein jeans (who can forgot those ads) and Reebok EasyTone, so I’m sure we’re going to see some amazing and sexy pics.

“While Naomi Watts’ ethereal beauty embodied the angelic aspect of the fragrance, Thierry Mugler chose to reignite the enticing and explosive dimensions of the fragrance with the sultry Mendes,” the company said in a statement.

That’s very true! Naomi is definitely more angelic and Eva is more sultry and sexy. But how does the same perfume go from being angelic to sultry?

The ads will appear worldwide beginning in September.
Eva Mendes: What Was She Thinking?
Eva Mendes usually looks so hot on the red carpet, but last night she really disappointed us at the premiere of 'The Other Guy' in NYC.

Eva was wearing a grayish toned Oscar De La Renta dress from his Resort 2011 collection. The dress is not that ugly, but were not digging the early 60's Mad Men look that's taking over the red carpet these days.

Some say the dress is 60's inspired, we say it looks like a mature woman trying to look like she is 12-years old.

The dress is not very form fitting, and it will actually make you look bigger than you actually are if you have that detachable poofy skirt attached to the dress.

Are we being too harsh on Eva Mendes and Oscar De La Renta? What do you guys think of the dress?
2010 Met Gala Style Recap
We loooooove the Met Gala because celebs truly wear whatever the hell they want. This year’s theme was “American Woman,” and we saw a whole gamut of interpretations at last night’s affair hosted by Oprah Winfrey and thrown by Anna Wintour.

Some were hot, some were def not. But here are the looks that made an impression on Hollyscoop this year.

PHOTOS: 2010 MET Gala Glamour

Hottest Looks:

Jennifer Lopez: Va va voom! It’s officially J. Lo’s year. This woman did no wrong at the Oscars and managed to look even hotter in a Zuhair Murad diamond-encrusted strapless gown. Speech. Less.

Blake Lively: Ok, her Marchesa mini reminds us of being under the sea a little, but it’s the Met Gala! And she’s got the legs for it!

Anne Hathaway: From the neck down, Annie is the epitome of flawless in a nude Valentino (our fave non new color!) But couldn’t she have at least coiffed that hair into a bun?

Better Luck Next Time:

Eva Mendes: We get, Eva. You’re Latina. But this Dolce & Gabbana trumpet-shaped frock is a little too “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina.”

Tina Fey: It pains us to write this but Tina Fey did it all wrong at the gala last night. It was the Costume gala and she looks like she went into her closet and picked out a random jumpsuit. Better luck next time Tina!

Kristen Stewart: Her expression says it all. Smile, girl! You’re in Chanel!

Glam Couples:

Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale Talk about a new spin on old Hollywood glam! The two looked super sharp—she in her very own L.A.M.B. pearlized gown and he in a quite dapper tux.

Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady: Wow! Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady looked like the perfect couple at the 2010 MET gala in NYC. Bundchen opted for a Alexander Wang short dress to show off her sexy legs. Can you believe she just had a baby? Gisele is one of those women people love to hate because she is just so perfect.

Sienna Miller and Jude Law: Love em or hate em, they’re back together. And sorry, but they’re gorgeous. She rocked that Emilio Pucci navy gown.

Awkward Duo:

Justin Timberlake and JJessica Biel: Come on, guys. At least pretend to care—about your outfits and each other. Jess is gorgeous, but that creamy satin Ralph dress did nothing for her figure, and JT: sorry bud, but you just need a cowboy hat to complete the bizarre Tim McGraw look. Note to self—don’t buy boyfriend a William Rast suit.

Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend

Can we say A-list? Last night Cartier celebrated their 100th Anniversary and we must say they have never looked better.

Anne Hathaway, Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel, Eva Mendes, Demi Moore, Kate Hudson and Elton John were on hand to help blow out some of Cartier's candles.

Although Kate Hudson looked amazing in a barely there ensemble, it was her jewelry that definitely caught the eye. Kate was dripping in over $1million dollars worth of diamonds at last night's event. What recession??

Anne Hathaway stayed modest as she was rocking over $500,000 worth of Cartier jewels.

Not to be left out, Justin Timberlake also decided to accessorize with some serious bling. He accessorized with a diamond panther tie pin and some serious diamond cufflinks.

Besides looking good, all of this excess and luxury was also for a good cause. The birthday bash was benefiting Service Nation, an organization that encourages volunteering. Happy Birthday Cartier!

Eva Mendes and Kate Beckinsale Front Row at Calvin Klein
Francisco Costa has done it again. The designer behind the Calvin Klein label unveiled his new collection yesterday.

The collection was made of mostly straight lines, so much that he managed to make Narciso Rodriguez's creations look almost shapely.

Costa used a lot of paneling, as well as some major high shoulder action, making the clothes appear almost like costumes for a Bond Girl, in 2050.

In front of a star packed audience featuring Kate Beckinsale and Eva Mendes, models tramped down the runway in seriously minimalist clothes.

The collection was full of pencil skirts for day, and featured one-shouldered gowns for evening. In an arena of over the top decadence, Costa proved that that less is indeed more.
