Eva Mendes Sings in New Commercial

Eva Mendes is the new face of Thierry Mugler fragrance “Angel” but looking pretty for print ads for the perfume isn’t her only covergirl duty.

Mendes will sing in the upcoming commercial for the fragrance. Eva wasn’t originally scheduled to sing, but went she got to set she started singing along to the song “The Windmills of Your mind,” which was to be used in the shoot. Everyone loved her singing voice so much they decided to incorporate her singing into the commercial.

You can hear Mendes in the campaign video for Thierry Mugler which gives a behind the scenes look at her in the recording studio.

However, this isn’t Mendes’s vocal debut. In 1998 she appeared as one of the girls riding in the convertible in Will Smith’s video for “Welcome to Miami,” where she chimed in on the vocals for “Bienvenido a Miami.”

Mendes will sing again as she plays the lead singer in the biopic about opera singer Maria Callas.

Who knew Mendes could sing? I see a lot of failed movie musicals in her future!
