Emily Maynard, the first ever Barbie doll “Bachelorette,” reportedly has a $350,000 wardrobe budget on the show.
“We had an enormous clothing budget,” Emily’s stylist, Cary Fetman tells In Touch, “It was bigger than any previous season – and we still went over!”
Well, they dress Emily Maynard like a freaking Disney princess, so it’s no wonder her diamond encrusted prom dresses cost that much. I guess you have to dress like a princess to find your prince charming. Uggh, I hate myself for writing those words, in that order.
Some of Emily Maynard’s overly expensive wardrobe pieces include $1,045 Christian Louboutin Straratata heels and a $40,000 nude Randi Rahm gown.
“Emily has fabulous taste and was involved in deciding what we should dress her in this season,” says Cary, “For me, it was like dressing a Barbie doll!”
However, Maynard has a rule that she only wears heels and she doesn’t like jeans. She’s a true “Southern Belle.”
“Emily hates flats,” says Cary, “She loves to be a girlie girl. She loves dresses and anything glitzy and sparkly. She is not a jeans girl by any means.”
The point of this article, I think, is to warn single women that unless you have $350,000 for a first date outfit, there’s no hope for you in finding love.
