LeAnn Rimes Addresses Her Struggle With Psoriasis

LeAnn Rimes is opening up about a personal struggle that has plagued her for years. Ever since being in the public eye, she has hidden the fact that she's been dealing with the skin problem called Psoriasis.

But now LeAnn is taking the steps to make her issue public, and to help others who have the same condition. She's working closely with the American Academy of Dermatology and National Psoriasis Foundation to raise awareness.

LeAnn said in a statement today, "Having battled severe psoriasis my whole life, I have gone to great lengths to hide my condition, especially as a performer. Over the years, I've had to deal with the emotional and physical toll psoriasis has had on my self-esteem and confidence, but today I no longer let psoriasis define who I am or how I feel about myself."
