Sarah Palin Has A Hefty Wardrobe Budget

Ok, I was barely awake when I read the shocking news that came across my "desk" this morning. For the Style section on this site I probably write on average one story a day about how you can get your favorite celebrities look for less. And clearly Sarah Palin has never read one of them!

It was reported today that the Republican National Convention has spent $150,000 on clothing and accessorizing vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin and her family since August. Yes you read correctly! $150,000!!

Sarah's spending spree started in September and included bills from Saks Fifth Avenue for a whopping $49,425.74. Ms. Palin was not an exclusive Sak's- aholic though, she also loved Neiman Marcus where she had one $75,062.63 spree in September.

A spokeswoman for the campaign said that, "It was always the intent that the clothing go to a charitable purpose after the campaign." Welllllll, lets all pray that the $150,000 worth of clothes ends up at a clothing drive near you. Hem - Hem- Cough- Cough.
