Say it isn’t so. Is fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld leaving the Fashion world for photography? The famed fashion designer was spotted taking photos of his latest ad campaign for Fendi.
Karl is the creative director for Fendi and we're hoping Karl is just testing the waters and playing around with his personal camera. Fashion without Karl would be disastrous. We would probably boycott clothes and walk around naked.
Karl's new Fendi campaign will feature hip-hop mogul Jay-Z. The paps learned the hard way not to mess with Karl and his art. "A paparazzo lurked from out of the shadows and started snapping away at them," reports Page Six, "and out of nowhere, one of Lagerfeld's guys just threw him to the ground."
Lesson learned...don't mess with Karl!

If you're planning on splurging on some designer purses next season, get ready to cough up a lot of dough. Designers unveiled their Fall 2008 purses at Milan fashion week and let's just say they are going down under for their inspirations.
The purses are made out of crocodile skin and although they may look good it will cost you an arm and a leg. In Milan designers such as Versace, Dolce and Gabanna, Roberto Cavalli and Fendi all unveiled their own version of the ”Crocodile Dundee” inspired purses.

Karl Lagerfeld knows how to generate buzz and certainly knows how to make history. The designer took Fendi from Milan to the Great Wall of China, and we're were not talking about a backdrop. This past weekend the Spring 08 collection was displayed on the steep wall and it wasn’t’ cheap. We hear the entire production cost around $10 million dollars.
The show brought in Hollywood starlets Kate Bosworth and Thandie Newton. LVMH chairman Bernard Arnault, Karl Lagerfeld, Silvia Venturini Fendi, and company chairman and CEO Michael Burke gathered along with a crowd of 500 for an extravaganza that will make it in the books along with Mao.
The show featured around 89 looks and closed with China's top model Du Juan styled as an empress in a black cheongsam gown. There were select looks from the Fendi Spring 08 collection displayed in Milan over a month ago. The collection fit well with the atmosphere as one belt was reminiscent of the actual construction of the wall. What can we say Karl's a genius and that’s why they pay him the big bucks.
