Fergie is New Face of Wet \'n\' Wild Cosmetics
Fergie has been named the first ever celebrity spokesperson for Wet ‘n’ Wild cosmetics. She couldn’t even get a Revlon ad? Sheesh.

Not that there’s anything wrong with Wet ‘n’ Wild, I mean, everybody has purchased Wet ‘n’ Wild cosmetics at some point in their lives. For me, I was probably 14 and I was buying maroon frosted Wet ‘n’ Wild lipgloss from the drugstore.

Fergie admits that the nostalgia aspect of Wet ‘n’ Wild is what’s got her so excited to front the brand.

Fergie admits that “the company and I come from the same [California] hometown!” that hometown being Hacienda Heights, California.

Fergie remembers idolizing the girls in her hometown who wore Wet ‘n’ Wild make-up, “In Hacienda Heights, there were a lot of beautiful chola girls. They wore Wet ‘n’ Wild. I would watch them put on their eyeliners and lip liners at school. Eric Chen, who is the brands owner, was like 30 seconds to a minute away from me growing up. He saw girls like me stocking up on those lip liners and eyeliners,” she told WWD.

As part of Fergie’s duties as brand ambassador she is going to wear all Wet ‘n’ Wild makeup to the Grammy’s this weekend. I’m sure she’ll look great, I’m just having flashbacks to frosted lipgloss and liquid eyeliner and I’m having serious concerns for what Fergie’s face is going to look like on Grammy Sunday.

Anyways, Fergie has no fears about it, telling People mag, “I think the brand is a realistic beauty buy for every woman out there. It’s beauty for all. It’s on-trend, it’s affordable and it’s easily accessible.”

Fergie will shoot her first campaign photos next month and according to company COO, “[Fergie’s] versatility and range is perfectly aligned with Wet ‘n’ Wild. She has the unique ability to go from hip, edgy and sexy to red-carpet glamorous. We couldn’t be more thrilled to work with her.”
