Forbes 2012 Top 10 Highest Paid Models

June 14, 2012 By:

What is the difference between a “model” and a “supermodel” exactly? Well, thanks to our cash counting friends over at Forbes, they've rounded up the top 10 models that get paid A LOT of money to look pretty, proving that the difference between supermodels and regular models is the paycheck.

The top 10 incomes are comprised from money maid between May 2011 through May 2012.

It’s no surprise that Gisele Bundchen is the #1 top earner. She made $45 million last year, which is about $35 million MORE than Kate Moss who placed as the #2 top earner.

Bundchen pimps out her name to products and various spokesperson gigs in addition to traditional modeling, you know, like, wearing clothes and posing.

Kate Moss comes in at a distant second place and even at the mature age of 38 (Gasp!) she still covers Vogue a couple times a year and has huge endorsement deals with Longchamp, Mango, Rimmel, and TopShop.

Five of the top ten models are Victoria’s Secret angels, proving that landing a pair of those coveted angel wings really is the best gig in the modeling world.

Noticeably absent from the list is Heidi Klum, whom Forbes decided is no longer a model but rather a mogul. Like Tyra Banks before her, she took on too many entrepreneurial roles and less modeling gigs and now places #83 on the Celebrity 100 list.

It’s only a matter of time before Bundchen graduates from model to mogul as well, leaving the #1 spot open for the next up-and-coming VS model.
