Justin Timberlake's New Givenchy Play Sport Ads
Continuing his role as the face of Givenchy cologne, Justin Timberlake debuts the new campaign for Givenchy’s latest men’s fragrance, Play Sport!

Shouldn’t they pick someone who actually plays sports to front the brand? That being said, hubba hubba, Justin Timberlake has got the male-model squinty eyes thing down!
Gisele Bundchen is the New Face of Givenchy
The worlds most expensive supermodel Gisele Bundchen is confirmed as the new face of Givenchy. Bundchen is taking over the modeling duties from former face of the French fashion house, Mariacarla Boscono.

The new ads feature Bundchen in a "mermaid themed" photo shoot. A source describes the new campaign as "the expression of a love story between a surfer and a mermaid." Ahhh the age old tale of surfers falling in love with mermaids. Except in the new images

Riccardo Tisci Gets Rave Reviews for Givenchy Spring/Summer 2012 Collection
The Givenchy spring/summer 2012 runway show during Paris fashion week was a star-studded affair. And I’m not even talking about the front row. The runway was full of big named supermodels such as Gisele Bundchen, Natalia Vodianova and Karolina Kurkova.

The collection was split into 3 color schemes. The black, the salmon pink and the sparkly grey.

Designer Riccardo Tisci said that he was inspired by surfers and mermaids for this collection, which explains the really tight pants. The pants were so tight that they could have actually been wetsuits.

What was great about the collection was that it was very wearable. Sometimes you see things on the runway that look good only on the runway as a piece of art, but you can never see yourself wearing on a day-to-day basis. This collection however was not like that. Who doesn’t like to wear tight pants and hot jackets?

Kanye West: Dude Dresses Like a Lady
Now we know why Kanye West is always seen at fashion shows. He digs chick’s clothes! You can technically call him a cross-dresser, but that might be pushing it.

Kanye took the stage Sunday night at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival wearing a Celine Spring 2011 printed shirt.

2011 Coachella Parties

This isn’t the first time Kanye has been seen in clothes that have also been worn by women. Last month he was wearing a Rottweiler shirt also worn by Liv Tyler at the Givenchy runway show. To Kanye’s defense, that shirt looked more suitable on him.

Aside from taking a liking to women’s clothes, Kanye gave one heck of a performance closing the Coachella Music & Arts Festival.

You can see his performance below:

Uma Thurman Named New Face of Givenchy
The famous French fashion house Givenchy has just announced that Uma Thurman is the new celebrity face for their Perfume.

The Kill Bill star and former Mrs. Ethan Hawke will be the celebrity model for the new women’s fragrance, which will launch in Europe this fall.

Uma joins Givenchy’s start-studded cast of gorgeous people, which includes Justin Timberlake, Marie Steiss and Liv Tyler.

Now just because the ads will only be in Europe does not mean you have to board the next plane to Paris just to see them! Rumor also has it that the new Perfume might launch stateside in 2010.

Uma and Givenchy? Magnifique!
Trends From Paris Fashion Week: Bridal Gowns
Is Bridal Couture the new red carpet look? That seems to be the fashion forecast after seeing some of the biggest names in Hollywood sporting bridal gowns during award show season.

“Desperate Housewives” star Teri Hatcher must have had a wedding on her mind when she wore a Bridal gown designed by Monique Lhuillier to the Sag Awards. Maybe she’s buying into the latest trend being set by the hottest designers in the world.

Currently the Spring/Summer 2009 collections are being unveiled in Paris for Fashion Week and seems like the designers are also hearing wedding bells.

Givenchy, Elie Saab, Christian Dior and Jean Paul Gaultier unveiled their collections, which featured many off white/white gowns. The designers also had their avant-garde bridal dresses which we’re pretty sure might be making a cameo at the Oscars.

Good news to Brides out there, you might have more options for your big day. If you can’t afford the designer duds below, it doesn’t hurt to get some inspirations for your dress.

Lady Gaga Inspires Designers at Paris Fashion Week
It’s no secret that music has always had an influence on fashion. Take Rock N Roll, which re-emerged in the 21st Century fashion books bringing skinny jeans and vintage t-shirts back in style.

In the late 90’s, every teenage girl was mimicking Mariah Carey and Britney Spears fashion style with the low cut denim showing off the belly ring.

Last year we saw Karl Lagerfeld using train wreck Amy Winehouse as his inspiration for his collection for Chanel. Lagerfeld had his models with beehive hairstyles with thick eyeliner and 50's inspired clothing. Now, it’s 2009, which is the year of change, and the days of looking like a train wreck are so yesterday.

Judging by the trends coming out of Paris Fashion Week, fashion designers are now using Lady Gaga as their muse for their Spring/Summer 2009 collection.

When Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci unveiled his Spring /Summer 2009 collection, there were many leotards on the runway which would be fit for Lady Gaga. Seeing all these leotards brings us to the question; would you wear it out in public?

Let’s be honest, Madonna can get away with it since she has buns of steel. Where does that leave the average fashionista? Let us know your thoughts.
Givenchey Designs For Sticky & Sweet Tour
There's been a lot of buzz about the costumes the dancers will don for Madonna's Sticky & Sweet Tour, and some sketches have surfaced on the Internet so fans can know what to expect. And when you're Madonna, you don't just have anyone design for you. You get a big name, which in this case is Givenchy. The French fashion house will dress Madge and her dancers for the entire tour, which kicks off next month.

Givenchy spokeswoman Caroline Deroche-Pasquier says, "Madonna always has these fashion collaborations, and it's my responsibility to make sure that it's part of the story. People look forward to finding out who she is collaborating with and what designers are working on the costumes."

Well it caught our attention, that's for sure! Take a look at some of the sketches and let us know what you think!
Givenchy Is Seeing Colors For Fall
Most collections go dark during Fall but not Givenchy. Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci decided to go bright for his Fall 2009 collection.

Tisci brought in his color palette and painted his collection with all the tobacco browns, vivid pinks, purples and touches of white.

The designer used intricate details making each dress unique with it's own story. Simplicity doesn’t exist for Fall when it comes to this designer. Tisci also saw stripes with his knit dresses, boots and hats.

The fashion show brought in some Hollywood ladies including Liv Tyler and Patricia Arquette. These leading ladies sat in the front row and picked their favorite items.

To be honest, there were some items that stood out from this collection but for the most part there was too much going on? What are you’re thoughts?
