Target is stepping up it's game. First a collaboration with Missoni and now one with Gwen Stefani? Bulls-eye!

Gwen Stefani will launch a mini version of her Harajuku Lovers brand at Target. And the line is quite literally, "mini." The range for target is an extensive children, tween and baby collection.

Gwen Stefani's design style is inspired by the colorful and playful designs found in Japan's Harajuku district and since she has two kids of her own, she is the perfect choice to design a children's line. Currently, Stefani's Harajuku Lovers brand mostly focuses on handbags with cute doodles of her Harajuku girls and a fragrance line named after each of her "Harajuku Girls" her four back-up dancers/entourage.

The Target collection will actually be called Harajuku Mini for Target and will feature, jackets, dresses, tutu's, onesies, zip-up hoodies, ballet flats, headbands, shoes and backbacks. There are more than 80 pieces in the line ranging in price from $4 - $30 and available in sizes 6 months to 16Y. The clothes are definitely for toddlers with an edge. Whatever that means. But if you're one of those "cool parents" with a 4 year old who doesn't like Baby Gap, then this is the collection for you.

"Harajuku Mini is a dream come true. I've always wanted to do a cool children's fashion line inspired by the supercute and playful kid's clothing you find in Japan," Stefani tells Women's Wear Daily when the collaboration was announced.

The entire collection will be in stores on November 13 and I don't doubt that a lot of adult women will be attempting to fit into a 4T sized t-shirt. "I can turn this into a half top right?"

"Target has given me the creative freedom to design kid's clothing that is different than most anything you usually see out there with great quality, attention to detail and most of all, available at amazing prices," claims Stefani.

This will be the first time that Stefani will design a range for kids and boys following the success of her L.A.M.B and Harajuku Lovers lines. The first official ads have surfaced and feature Stefani in a baby blue leotard posing with one of the brands tiny models who wears a graphic tee, hoodie, and a white tutu skirt.

Stefani says the aim of the collection is "about being creative, expressing your own individuality and having fun getting dressed."
