Heidi Klum Dishes On "Wildlife" Collection for QVC

Heidi Klum is set to release her new "Wildlife" jewelry collection with QVC. The collection is being described as "pretty with an edge" and is a departure from her previous jewelry collections, which featured daintier more expensive jewelry with companies like LA jeweler Mouawad.

Hollyscoop caught up with Klum at a QVC event during Fashion's Night Out in New York and talked her new "Wildlife" collection of jewelry.

Klum says fans can expect big, edgy pieces from her new jewelry range like chunky stone bangles, large oval rings, luxurious bib necklaces and metal cuffs.

"I make big important pieces. They are not small and dainty and cute, they are quite hard and they make a statement," Klum tells Hollyscoop.

She says the inspiration for the collections name is because her own life is so "wild."

"[This collection is] called 'Wildlife' because I feel I have a wild life and everyone who wants to join in will love my pieces."

Guilty. I want to join in! Will a chunky bangle allow me to join Klum's entourage? Who knows but I'm gonna try.

"[The collection is a] mixture of many different things. You can mix and match [the pieces] all together or wear them with an evening gown or with jeans and a t-shirt. I wanted to make something that is chic, rock and roll and fun," says Klum.

The best thing about this new collection is the price. You can steal Klum's supermodel style at soccer mom prices. Prices start around $30 and nothing is more that $100.



"I have done fine jewelry in the past and you are very limited when you do that and not a lot of people can afford your jewelry...doing something with QVC and also on a different budget, I now see more people in my jewelry which is great."

Though Klum says it's most gratifying when she runs into people wearing her jewels.

"I love when I see people on the street or when I run through the airport and they are like, 'Hello look, I'm wearing your piece.' It’s exciting when people actually enjoy what you do and you get to see it on people."
