Come to think of it, 2011 has been a big year for pregnancies, too. Either way, wherever there’s good fashion, you can bet there’s bad fashion, too. And here are the ten biggest fashion disasters of 2011.
Helena Bonham-Carter, Golden Globes: Well, no surprise that Helena made this list, she lives for standing out from the red carpet crowd. And if that means she’s gotta wear two different colored shoes, then dammit, that’s what she’s gonna do. That’s called commitment.

Helena Bonham Carter is often the topic of discussion when it comes to her sense of style. I personally love it because she doesn't give a crap about what people think and expresses her personality by the clothes she wears. But others who live in a fashion bubble think she dresses funny.
Helena spoke to People and told them that she feels like she gets her sense of style from her mother.
“She's always had color and she's got flamboyance. Maybe subconsciously I did pick something up,” she says.
So that just means that all the fashion critics should actually blame her mom for her fashion disasters.
I'm excited to see what Helena will wear to the Oscars. It's the biggest award show of the year and she's nominated so I'm really hoping she delivers BIG. Go Big or Go Home Helena!

Best Dressed:
Natalie Portman is a red carpet darling. Her growing belly looked radiant in this white Azzaro strapless gown that she paired with $2 million dollars worth of Tiffany's jewelry. She looked precious. Just like a goddess! It was the perfect dress to pick up her Best Actress award in.
Mila Kunis turned heads in her red/orange strapless Alexander McQueen dress. It was fun and flirty and so different from the green Vera Wang dress she wore to the Globes. The big change shows that she’s versatile and willing to take risks on the carpet.
Julianna Margulies was on fire both on the off the red carpet. She looked great in her red Yves Saint Laurent dress. Julianna picked up best actress in a TV drama tonight. Girl is on fire!

Other notable best dressed ladies: Jennifer Lawrence looked flawless in this pink Oscar de la Renta gown from the pre fall 2011 collection. The classic updo and simple jewelry really complimented the dress. Hillary Swank in a nude Versace chiffon one shouldered dress.
Whites and nudes were a big trend on the carpet, along with reds/oranges and pinks. Lea Michele wore a studded Oscar de la Renta dress with Sergio Rossi shoes, Tiffany jewels and a Daniel Swarovski bag. She played it safe, and looked gracious.
Amy Adams looked fresh in Herve L. Leroux, Casadei shoes, Kimberly McDonald jewels and a VBH bag. The simplicity of the dress was very flattering when paired with her simple updo. It was a great change from the usual greens and blues we see Amy wearing.
Eva Longoria opted for a Hobeika nude gown with plunging neckline and drape accent. Eva always looks great on the carpet because she knows how to dress for her petite body. The plunging neckline gave her extra inches.
Kim Kardashian has become a fashion icon, but this Marchesa dress wasn't doing anything for her. She looked like she's going to prom--not a major award show.
Did Winona Ryder not get the memo about the red carpet? She looks like a runaway bride in this puffy Alberta Ferretti dress. Fashion fail!
Helena Bonham Carter always plays by her own rules. She never follows fashion trends and unfortunately lands on every Bad Dressed list--including today. Sorry Helena, love you, but this Marc Jacobs dress is so unflattering.
Christina Hendricks forgot to get dressed for the SAG awards, she left her house in this robe. Wait, what? It's a dress?! Go figure. Why Christina opted for this L'Wren Scott
Other notable fashion disasters: Julien Bowen from Modern Family was wearing a black pants suit by Malandrino and Neil Lane jewels—she looked way too casual. She looked like she was going to a club—not a red carpet.

Can you imagine Helena dressing in a suit or a long gown? No!
She is an original person with original character and her fashion sense reflects that.
When asked about her style she told People.com, “Fashion is all about having fun. I think fashion has been hijacked by the fashion industry creating rules on what one should wear and I feel like breaking the mold and seeing that the world won’t crumble.”
That explains why she wore mismatched shoes to the Golden Globes.
"Why not wear mismatching shoes? Who says we can’t? I was just having fun,” says Bonham Carter. “For me, fashion is all about fantasy and putting unlikely things together. That’s what I love. I genuinely love dressing up.”
To no surprise, Helena is a big fan of another artist who also likes to dress up and have fun….Lady Gaga!
“I love the way she dresses. She’s like a work of art,” she says. “Anybody who is inventive, different or has fun like her, I love and admire. I’m amazed that she’s able to stand up in some of those shoes she wears.”
Lady Gaga and Helena Bonham Carter are definitely similar because they actually see fashion as art.
Can’t wait to see what she comes up with for the Oscars on February 27.
