A couple of days ago Hilary Swank stepped out in chilly New York City at an Escada event honoring The Free Arts Benefit. Hilary looked amazing as always, but it was her coat that really got our attention.

Winter whites are here and Hilary is showing you common-folks how to do it right! The white coat seems to be the new winter trend among celebrities.

When the new issue of Vanity Fair hits the stands it will show a gorgeous Kate Winslett also draped in her winter white Jacket. So we are taking cues from our lady's in the know, and declaring the white Jacket the new trend for winter!

We found this great white coat at Intermix, and it is pretty inexpensive considering it will sure be a wardrobe staple. We are all for drinking red wine, but try not to do it in your new winter coat! Happy hunting!
