James Franco Starring and Directing New Ads for 7 For All Man Kind

James Franco is starring in, directing and photographing the new ads for 7 For All Mankind's Spring 2012 campaign. We all know that Franco is quite the jack of all-trades, but when you give him the reins over a modeling shoot, he's gonna make sure that the chick is shirtless. C'mon Franco, don't be a creep.

The new campaign stars Franco and model Lily Donaldson as the two cozy up on a beach, wearing jeans, of course.

The photo and video shoot took place this weekend and Franco has released several minutes of behind-the-scenes footage. The behind-the-scenes look reveals two girls in skinny jeans, holding hands and walking around LA while Franco trails behind with a camera. Franco and Lily are shown frolicking on the beach, while Franco cracks a wry smile.

Franco admits that that he enjoys directing and working in fashion because it's so different from movies.

"People are used to movies being told a certain way," says Franco, "It has an emotional arc and there's a beginning, middle and end. But in a fashion campaign like this, you have some of those elements - actors and performers and a set and wardrobe - but you don't have the burden of telling a story in the same way or attracting audiences in the same way. So you can use all the elements from a film but explore it in a new way."

The campaign is expected to come out in March and indie messiah Devendra Banhart (and Natalie Portman's ex) is rumored to be providing the music for the video portions of the campaign.
