James Franco's New Mysterious Gucci Ad Released

James Franco is just sooo edgy. James Franco is currently modeling on a billboard above Sunset Blvd by the Château Marmont in a new Gucci sponsored ad.

The billboard features Franco hunched over and getting the name “Brad” chiseled into his arm with a switchblade.

The “Brad” is Brad Renfro, who was Franco’s costar in "Deuces Wild" and sadly passed away at the age of 25 in 2008.

The billboard is actually a guerilla marketing stunt for Franco’s upcoming short film and not actually a new Gucci collection, although the fashion house is backing the project.

The photos and the ad are all part of Franco’s latest art project, a short film called “Rebel,” which centers on Brad Renfro’s life and real life “Rebel without a case” James Dean, who Franco played in a biopic a decade ago. 

The sometimes actor/writer/poet/painter/stoner/grad student/soap opera star is just soo mysterious.
