Amy Winehouse Inspires Jean Paul Gaultier Fashion Show
Jean Paul Gaultier presented his haute couture runway show this week during Paris Fashion Week and the entire show, including the clothes, models, and music were all inspired by the late Amy Winehouse.

It was like an army of Winehouse clones marching down the Paris runway. The models were all done up in beehive wigs off various colors, thick winged eyeliner and even Winehouse’s iconic drawn on mole.
Loose talk with Jean Paul Gaultier: Anna Wintour is "Monstrous"
Jean Paul Gaultier, the former creative director of Hermes, just publicly insulted Anna Wintour.

Here's exactly what Paul Gaultier said about Voque's editor in chief, Anna Wintour.

In an interview with The Independent, Gaultier was talking about his favorite fashion films and of course "The Devil Wears Prada" came up in discussion. Though he thinks that Meryl Streep who portrayed an Anna Wintour-like character played it too nice.

"Anna Wintour is a lot more monstrous than she is described!" says Gaultier.

And then when the journalist asked if she was a positive figure in fashion, he just responded, "She is a figure."

Jean Paul Gaultier Interviews Lady Gaga! On Your TV's This September!
Lady Gaga and Jean Paul Gaultier are collaborating on a film project titled "Gaga by Gaultier" in which the designer will interview the singer and I'm sure they'll talk about all the things they have in common like why shoulder pads are awesome, how to not wear pants, and is Madonna actually the messiah.

The two sat down for an hour-and-15-minute-long interview that marks the pairs first meeting, in a special that will be aired on the CW on September 12 at 8pm.
Jean Paul Gaultier Designing Cone Bras For La Perla
The famed French designer, Jean Paul Gaultier is teaming up with luxury lingerie company La Perla to create an exclusive line of lingerie for the brand.

However, with a collection full of cone bra's and shoulder pads, this isn't exactly lingerie you wear under clothes, unless you like having geometric boobs or you are Lady Gaga or you need to impress your ultra hip maybe closeted gay boyfriend.
Dita Von Teese Shows Off Racy Runway Look
Jean Paul Gaultier took couture to a whole new level when he had Dita Von Teese walk the runway in barely there S&M gear. The designer showed off his Haute Couture collection in Paris today and the theme was all about glamour!

Gaultier left very little to the imagination with the sequined corset that Dita wore as she proudly walked the runway. The girls got some serious confidence.

The reason for the sexy ensemble was to show off the new collaboration between Gaultier and lingerie designer La Perla.

After the show Dita Tweeted: “That was quite a haute couture moment…Cinched to the max by Mr. Pearl for the Jean Paul Gaultier show!”

The one-off collection will be available in November in selected department stores, retailing at about $700, which is probably more than what you or I will ever pay for lingerie.

Sex Sells During Paris Fashion Week
Paris Fashion week is well underway. Many critics were curious what designers would display as designer labels have become taboo in these harsh economic times.

During World War 2, the Godmother of fashion Coco Chanel was forced to shut down her store in Paris due to low sales. It’s 2009 and although designers aren’t shutting down their fashion houses, they are finding creative ways to lure clients, sex.

Traditional lines like Valentino, known to exuberate class, are now taking a trendy and sexier route. Designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli, Valentino's former accessory designers, had a hard entry into the haute culture after Valentino Garavani’s retirement. Seems like they are sticking with the times and going short, sexy and see-through. For Valentino, lace is the new red.

Even red carpet king Giorgio Armani is bringing sexy back from the dead. The designer opted for a sexy low-neck drop gown that can make any busty girl reveal all. Even Bridal gowns are getting sexified, as Givenchy displayed in its collection.

John Galliano displayed his collection for Christian Dior at the Dior headquarters in the Avenue Montaigne to show almost in the way the clothes were traditionally presented to clients and the press in the 1950's. Dior took his inspiration from the past and added some sexy flare as he designed some sexy see-through skirts fit for a Queen, of pop that is. Expect to see Madonna in some of his gear.

Meanwhile Jean Paul Gaultier pulled a Lady Gaga on us as he displayed leotards as formal gowns. Better start working on that epilator machine at the gym girls. Time to get those thighs of steel.

Trends From Paris Fashion Week: Bridal Gowns
Is Bridal Couture the new red carpet look? That seems to be the fashion forecast after seeing some of the biggest names in Hollywood sporting bridal gowns during award show season.

“Desperate Housewives” star Teri Hatcher must have had a wedding on her mind when she wore a Bridal gown designed by Monique Lhuillier to the Sag Awards. Maybe she’s buying into the latest trend being set by the hottest designers in the world.

Currently the Spring/Summer 2009 collections are being unveiled in Paris for Fashion Week and seems like the designers are also hearing wedding bells.

Givenchy, Elie Saab, Christian Dior and Jean Paul Gaultier unveiled their collections, which featured many off white/white gowns. The designers also had their avant-garde bridal dresses which we’re pretty sure might be making a cameo at the Oscars.

Good news to Brides out there, you might have more options for your big day. If you can’t afford the designer duds below, it doesn’t hurt to get some inspirations for your dress.

Stars Show Up for Yves Saint Laurent's Funeral

More than 800 mourners showed up to Saint-Roch church to pay their respects. Guests included Christian Lacroix, Hubert de Givenchy, Karl Lagerfeld, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, Jean Paul Gaultier, John Galliano, Karl Lagerfeld, Sonia and Nathalie Rykiel, Kenzo Takada, and Valentino.

Saint Laurent's former lover and business partner, Pierre Berge, said: "He turned fashion on its head, making it socially relevant rather than merely aesthetic.

"With Saint Laurent, women ceased being merely clothes-horses or the objects of designer fantasies."

RIP YSL, you'll be missed!
Gaultier Brings The Jungle To Paris

Jean Paul Gaultier is bringing the jungle back to the catwalks of Paris. The designer unveiled his Fall 08 collection and let's just say PETA isn’t going to be happy. Exotic skins, matte crocodile jackets and pelts on the heads. For a second there the models looked like actual animals.

Regardless, the line is getting great reviews and seems like it’s a good week for Gaultier. Let's not forget his mermaid dress brought good luck to French actress Marion Cotillard at the 80th Academy Awards. Looks like Fall 08 is going to be a good year for Gaultier.
