Jennifer Hudson has been unveiling a lot of new looks lately. First a new body, now a new collection for QVC.

Jennifer talks to ModaMob about why it was so important for her to design for every woman when she premiered her first designer collection at Fashion’s Night Out in NYC yesterday.

“I’m just like every other girl and I’ve been there,” says the powerhouse singer-turned-designer. “I’ve been poor [and] I’ve been in love with clothes.”

Because of her own struggle with weight, Jennifer is sympathetic and doesn’t discriminate when it comes to size.

“I’ve been a big girl and now I’m the new Jennifer. When I was creating my line, I wanted to make sure I included every woman. I want my size 16 to look just as good as my size 6.”

When asked whether she feels pressure to conform to a certain look, Jennifer revealed how the Hollywood pressure has changed in the wake of her new WeightWatchers figure.

“When I started my weight loss journey I had no idea that so many people were watching, so that did kind of add a little bit more pressure,” she shares.

“Whereas before, being a big girl, it’s like, you didn’t have that worry on you or that spotlight. Now, it’s like, you have to always make sure you’re always together. It’s not easy being the thinner girl. It was much easier the other way. A lot less pressure.”
