Proving to be a Hollywood mom through-and-through, Jessica Simpson was wrapped up tight in a red form fitted dress while she walked the red carpet at the Footwear News Achievement Awards in NYC last night.
She paired the dress with matching platform heels and showed off her legs.
She recently told US Weekly about her a maternity style, “I like wearing things more fitted. You want to show off your bump! It’s just so fun. You don’t want to wear muumuus so you can moo around town.”
She can show it off all she wants as long as she doesn’t turn into one of those pregnant-yoga-moms who strut their bumps around town in stretchy pants and crop tops. Hey ladies, watch your bellies, I’m tryin’ to get my vinyasa to flow here!
Simpson was honored last night for her work with footwear with her Jessica Simpson collection. And naturally, while she struts around in towering heels she plans to deliver her baby that way too.
“I’m probably going to deliver my baby in [4-inch YSL heels],” she says, “I went to the doctor yesterday and he said, ‘You’re gonna need to get out of those heels! I was like, “Excuse me! I’ll be delivering in these heels!’”
She sounds just like Victoria Beckham, who literally was never without Louboutin’s during her entire pregnancy with Harper Seven. They should get together and talk about stilettos and embryos over coffee.
Simpson tells People that she’s enjoying the “pregnancy glow.”
“People always say that pregnant women have a glow. And I say it’s because you’re sweating to death,” admits Simpson.
That may be true, but what sounds better: Pregnancy glow? Or Pregnancy Sweat? Yeah, let’s not talking about pregnancy sweat anymore, I feel gross.
“I think they just tell pregnant women they’re glowing to make them feel good about themselves, because everything makes them a little bit emotional,” suggests Simpson.
Even though Simpson waited forever to announce she was pregnant and dodged the question even though it looked like she was hiding a balloon underneath her clothes, she finally admits that being pregnant is great.
“Pregnancy was meant for me – it really was,” she once told People, “I can’t wait to have more kids. I love being pregnant.”
