John Galliano To Partner With TopShop?
John Galliano to design a collection for Topshop? Since being fired as Dior’s creative director for drunken anti-Semitic remarks, Galliano might make his return to fashion with a collaboration with Topshop.

Topshop is no Dior, but hey, beggars can’t be choosers. Galliano’s career was given a boost when he received universal praise for the wedding dress he created for Kate Moss’ recent wedding. It was Kate’s wedding that sparked rumors of the Topshop deal.

Allegedly, Galliano spoke with Topshop’s boss-boss, Arcadia CEO Sir Philip Green, at Moss’s wedding where the collaboration was hatched. However, Green has told Vogue UK, ”I saw John Galliano at Kate’s wedding last Friday. I did not discuss any business with him then, nor have I since.”

Aghh, typical evasive statement. Not gonna give up hope yet. If the Galliano/Topshop partnership does happen, it would be bigger than H&M’s hook-ups with Lanvin, Lagerfeld and McCartney and even Topshops collaborations with Kate Moss.

Also, Galliano really needs to revamp her career after his tarnished public image. He is currently awaiting a verdict for his charges of public insult in Paris. With Green inking the deal, who is UK’s most influential Jewish businessmen, Galliano might be able to get past her former faux pas.
