After all the hype and rumors, Kanye West debuted his first fashion show at Paris Fashion Week this weekend and it was met with mixed reviews.

The new line, dubbed KW by Kanye West debuted it's Ready to Wear Spring/Summer 2012 collection and Kanye wants you to know that he isn't just a "celebrity designer." This isn't Sofia Vergara for K-Mart, this isn't Madonna for Macy's, Kanye West is a full-fledged designer says Kanye West.

He revealed, "I'm so scared. I'm so nervous," which can go down in history as the first time Kanye West isn't obsessively confident about something.

"The biggest conversation I hope I can end tonight is the whole 'celebrity designer' thing. That's the biggest hurdle when you want to get amazing people to work for you," says Kanye.

The collection consisted of a lot of fur and leather and clothing that was maybe too sizes too big for most of the models, so like a size 2, when they should have been double zeroes.

The New York Times said, "Next season Kanye should get a tailor so clothes might fit. Models swimming in some looks."

While his show was attended by celebs like Lindsay Lohan, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Ciara, Anna Wintour and designers like Alexander Wang and Jeremy Scott, the celebs seemed to like his line.

Ciara was very impressed, so impressed she almost seemed like she started working for Kanye's PR company, either that or she really really wants him to rap on one of her songs, "It was amazing. The clothes, the feeling in the room, the energy backstage - it really feels special....This doesn't happen every day, and to see someone like Kanye, who aspires to succeed in fashion, to get so much respect and cross over like this, it was monumental. It was an historic moment."

Yo Kanye, drop a rhyme on Ciara's next track or something.

However, Style.com's Tim Blanks reviewed the show and was less than pleased. "It's frustrating that someone who seems to almost effortlessly realize his vaulting musical ambitions comes up short elsewhere, at least on the first attempt...but tonight's show suggests that conquering his new medium is a work in progress."

But on the other hand, US designer Jeremy Scott thought the collection was surprisingly good.

"Everyone probably thought it was going to be another like Jennifer Lopez's Macy's line and it's not, it's really clear it's not. Kanye has impeccable taste and you see his taste level is up there. He's a fan of design across the board."
