Kate Middleton aka The Duchess of Cambridge, looked absolutely flawless on her big day.

Rumor had it that Kate did her own makeup for the royal wedding and wanted to keep her Bridal look minimal so the Prince would “still recognize” her. But of course the Princess had her own glam squad for the big day.

For her hair, her longtime stylist James Pryce and Richard Ward of London’s Richard Ward salon gave her simple, yet elegant curls.

"Catherine was very involved in her chosen style and the bridal look was based on her own personal preference," Ward told People. "It was really a matter of getting a fine balance of feeling natural but also reflected the occasion."

Her half up, half down bridal look was called a "demi-chignon," which the salon defined as "an up-do style which combines a classic bridal look with a regal, couture finish."

You can duplicate the look with hot rollers or a big curling iron. Try to go for a curling iron larger than 1.5” and make sure to apply a curling cream so the curls stay in tact all day. I recommend a quarter size of ‘Be Curly’ by Aveda.

Now onto the makeup. Rosy cheeks are really in this spring. Kate’s simple foundation complimented the pink blush that was swept over her cheekbones. The easiest way to apply it is to smile in front of the mirror and brush on blush going up towards your temples. I’ve found that Nars ‘Orgasm’ is really flattering on most complexions.

A full brow is a happy brow. If you don’t have full eyebrows like Kate’s, fake it! Apply an eyebrow pencil one shade lighter than your eyebrow color. Then take an eye shadow brush (again one shade lighter) and start to fill in the brows. Shadow fill in will always look more natural than just a pencil. My personal favorite is ‘Blonde’ by Chanel. It’s a little pricy ($28) but it works well with most shades (despite it being called Blonde) and lasts for months.

I can’t emphasize enough how important good eyeliner is. Kate went for a softer liner, which can be achieved by a regular black eyeliner with a smudge tip. If you want a more distinct liner (like Kate Moss’) you should consider going with a liquid liner instead. I’ve tried a million different liners and none compare to L’Oreal Infallible Never Fail eyeliner in Carbon Black. You can get it for under $10 at the drugstore and it’ll last for months. Great buy! If you’re looking for a liquid, try L’Oreal Lineur Intense. I found it doesn’t dry up as fast as most liquid liners and is easy to apply.

And finally for a great pout, just go with a lipgloss with some shine. Tip: If you’re going to go with red lips, make sure you apply your blush closer to your temples to avoid looking too flushed.
