One year ago, Kate Middleton became the Duchess of Cambridge. Aside from her newfound royalty, new title, and princess-status, she gained a new wardrobe.

To celebrate the Royal Couple’s one-year anniversary, we’re rounding up Kate Middleton’s top-5 best style moments.

The Wedding Dress: A year ago Kate Middleton wed Prince William in the wedding gown that changed the face of the wedding industry. The demure long sleeved gown was designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.

The Jenny Packham: Kate Middleton wowed in a sparkly petal pink Jenny Packham gown to the ARK Gala dinner at Kensington Palace in June 2011. This was the first time after the wedding where she truly wowed us and proved she would become a fashion icon.

The DVF Dress: The first time that Kate Middleton visited Los Angeles she wore a bright green Diane von Furstenberg frock. It was simple and chic and highlighted Middleton’s slender figure. She then re-wore the dress a few weeks later.

The Alexander McQueen Gown: Proving that she can keep up with Hollywood’s red carpet crowd, Kate showed up to a BAFTA Event in LA in July 2011 in a stunning pale lilac Alexander McQueen gown.

The Amanda Wakeley Gown: In October, Kate hosted her first solo engagement in England. Since she didn’t have her hubby as her arm candy, she had to step it up in the fashion department and step up she did! She wore an Amanda Wakeley gown in a gorgeous silver blue color. For the first time, she truly looked like a Princess.
