Kate Middleton's Favorite Designer Launching Affordable Line

Kate Middleton is a huge fan of Jenny Packham dresses. She’s worn the delicate and lady-like designs on several occasions, and by occasions I mean, polo matches, charity Galas, polo matches, trips to Canada…did I say polo matches already?

Because of the public’s overwhelming obsession with Kate Middleton’s style and Kate Middleton’s favorite designer being Jenny Packham, Packham has decided to launch an “affordable” line of clothes for UK retailer Debenhams.

The cheaper collection is called “No.1 Jenny Packham,” with items that will start at $100 and capping at around $300. However, this is in stark contrast to her couture line, which sells thong underwear for $135 a piece.

The collection will consist of 19 dresses, including prom dresses and flower-girl and bridesmaids dresses.

The collection will launch in April, offering only 8 dresses at first and rolling out more of the collection throughout the summer.

Packham is thrilled to be collaborating with Debenhams, “As a young girl, I was regularly abandoned in Debenhams Southamtpon. During this time I lost myself in the rails of 70’s polyester and dreamt of a life in fashion.”

Her designs may be loved by royals and celebrities like Rihanna, Keira Knightley, Beyonce and Cameron Diaz, but she her new collection can be worn on places other than the red carpet.

“My aim always is to design styles that create glamour and excitement whether it is for the red carpet or a teenage prom,” says Packham.
